30 Day Challenge - Day 20
July 20th, 2008 · Filed Under: Abs Mindset
OK, it’s getting serious now…
After today we only have 10 days left.
If you’ve made it this far, you’ve done amazing.
I would love to hear some progress reports.
Oh and by the way, I finally booked my trip for the end of July.
A little vacation to Lake Tahoe.
I can’t wait!
One more thing, I am considering starting with a 7 Day Coaching program instead of a 30 Day one.
It may sound strange to do a coaching program for only 7 days, but I will explain very soon.
Talk later,
Scott

Hey Scott & Everyone!
Day 20…wow…seems almost like yesterday we started this challenge.
Still doing great. Since I have started training, even before the challenge, I have made some progress.
I am still close to the same weight, but I dropped 4% body fat! (initial recording was at 21% now I am at 17%)
All I can say is WOW! It will still be a while before I have my 6 pack abs, as I am not doing heavy cardio yet. That will come in either my second or third phase of training when I switch things up (changing from heavy lifting to volume training)
Hope everyone is doing OK on the challenge…only 10 more days, guys!

I started my 30 day challenge two weeks ago. I would say I have been 95% succesful at eating single component foods. It came at the perfect time as I had been a little lax and had put on 5 lbs. In 14 days I have lost 4 lbs. and I am sure the last pound and probably a few extra will be no problem.
I do have a question for you Scott or anyone reading this. Some days I don’t have the extra time to cook up my morning oatmeal. I came across a ready-to-eat cereal called ‘Uncle Sam’. The ingrediants state, whole-wheat flakes and flax seeds. No sugars or other ingrediants. I realize this is a’processed’ product, what do you think?
I love your videos. Have a great vacation!

Jim,
I actually eat Uncle Sam cereal. It is actually fairly tasty.
With the diet that I am on, I use either half and half or heavy cream instead of milk, and I use Equal as an artificial sweetener.
I eat it on my carb up days as well as Oatmeal.
The other solution I use for Oatmeal in a hurry is a microwave. 2mins on high…done. And I usually doctor my oatmeal with raisins & cinnamon.
Hope these tips help.
