Hey there – I wanted to tell you 5 ways that you can boost your metabolism today.  Your metabolism is the rate that you burn calories. You want to keep this high high high so you can burn more fat and have a super sexy body…

Ok, here we go…5 ways to keep your metabolism sky high:

1). Include weight training in your workouts. Weight training helps to build nice, lean muscle, and having more muscle in your body means a higher metabolism. I’m not talking about using pink dumbbells here – use weight that is moderately heavy and challenging.

2). Perform high intensity interval training.
Studies have shown that when you perform high intensity cardio interval training, your metabolism elevates and remains elevated for several hours after the workout is over.  That means you’ll be burning extra calories watching American Idol tomorrow evening if you do a high intensity interval workout tomorrow morning.

3). Eat every 3 hours or so
.  Your body burns calories through the process of digestion each time you eat a meal.  So every time you eat, your metabolism gets a boost.  Just make sure you’re eating nutrient rich foods and not cookies and ice-cream.

4). Eat some protein at each meal.  Protein is a little more difficult to digest than fats or carbs, meaning your body has to work harder to digest it.  This just means that you burn more calories when you eat protein.
