9 Exercises You Can Do In Your Hotel Room1 Comment

Topics: Abs Exercise, Abs Nutrition

I’m headed to Colorado on Tuesday for a few days for a little vacation. I’ll be staying in Denver but spending some time in Boulder. I love to go to Colorado a few times a year because the scenery is so breathtaking. This will actually be a working vacation for me as I’ll be doing 3 teleseminars for the Mommy Abs Makeover series while I am there.

It is so easy to get knocked off your regular diet and exercise program while traveling, but here is what I try to do to stay healthy on the road. My flight is in the mid morning so I’ll eat my usual healthy breakfast before I leave for the airport – probably 3 scrambled eggs and a grapefruit. I’ll either bring some fruit and mixed nuts with me, or buy them there at the airport. You can usually find a place, like a Starbucks, that sells apples and bananas, and the book/magazine stores sells mixed nuts and almonds. Make sure you buy a bottle or 2 of water so you stay dehydrated on the plane.

A lot of hotels have really nice gyms these days. I was in Los Angeles last week and the hotel had a complete gym with very nice equipment. In case yours doesn’t, you’ll want to know how to do an effective bodyweight workout. For me, I’m following the Abs Uncrunched program, so I’m all set, but I want to show you want you can do, just in case your not following the same program I am. Here are 9 exercises you can do in your hotel room that will work out your entire body and the number of reps to do. Perform 2-3 rounds of this circuit with minimal rest between exercises so you’ll get a great cardio workout too.

Step Jumps x 10 reps
Decline Push Ups x 12
Step Ups x 10 each leg
Incline Push Ups x 12
Bulgarian Split Squat x 10 ea
Dips x 20
Hip Raises x 20
One-Legged Hip Raises x 10 ea
In/Outs x 20

The video shows you a demonstration of the exercises. It was shot while I was on vacation in Austin, Texas last April.

Have an amazing day.

Scott

    Hi,
when it comes to abs, there are more quality exercises available than time to do them, so pick a few, try them for a while and change it up every few weeks. I prefer the standard sit-up, generally using the hotel dresser to hold my feet during the exercise
