Are You Obsessed With Your Weight?7 Comments

Today is Day 14 of me being on the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet which means I’m exactly 2 weeks in and have 11 days left.  My progress has been wonderful so far, but something is really bothering me.  Almost everyone who is on this program is obsessed with how much weight they’ve lost.  Some people are weighing themselves everyday and if they gained weight from one day to the next, they get depressed or angry and feel like they’ve put in a lot of hard work for nothing.

I can’t understand why so many people are obsessed with their weight.  I mean, it’s pretty common knowledge that if you lose 5 pounds of fat, but gain 5 pounds of muscle, the scale won’t budge (or at least I hope this is common knowledge).  If you get the exact body that you won’t from following the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet or another program, why do you care what the scale says?  If you had your dream body but weighed 15 pounds more than you actually wanted to, wouldn’t you be happy with your dream body?  Or would you still be disappointed with what the scale says?

Would you be happy if this was your dream body if the scale didnt say what you wanted it to?

Would you be happy if this was your dream body if the scale didn't say what you wanted it to?

I know that if I’m ripped with six pack abs, I could care less if I weighed 175 pounds or 190 pounds.  The scale weight would make no difference to me.  It’s how I look in the mirror with my shirt off which would make all the difference.

So I really strongly urge you to take pictures as a measure of progress, not step on the scale.  Throw away your scale if you have to.  How often should you take a picture?  Well that’s up to you, but in the Xtreme Fat Loss Diet, each cycle of the program lasts 5 days, so I’m taking a picture every 5 days.  I’ve seen progress with each picture.  And taking pictures this often really keeps me on track.

I would love to hear your comments about this.  Are you obsessed with your weight?  Do you weigh yourself all the time?  If so, why do you do this?  Please just leave your comments below.

Thanks!

Scott

Yep, the eating will account for about 75% of your results so make sure you are compliant with that about 90% of the time and you'll get that dream body.

Yep, Eva, the way that your clothes fit will give you a good idea if you're headed in the right directions. Thanks for sharing.

Glad this posting could help you Rad. A lot of times, I don't really see changes in the mirror, but when I see my before/after pictures side by side, I can really tell a difference.

Good luck as you finish the program.
