Are You Too Old to Get a Flat Stomach?11 Comments
Hey there – a question I get quite often is am I too old to get a flat stomach? I usually get this question from people in their 40s, 50s and 60s.
My answer is a resounding NO. Watch the video and I’ll tell you why you’re not too old and how you can get a flat stomach at any age.
Have a great day.

Is it possible to get a six pack after a low cut C section

What do you do if you have pain in your wrists so you are not able to place your hands flat on any surface and push up??

Hi Scott, I listened to your video, very interesting since most of us believe long, slow cardio was the way to weight loss as well as light weight, more reps.
So are you saying intervals with high intensity is the way to go? Like with weights, are you saying heavier weights, less reps? and with cardio – do intervals?

Yes it is possible Paula and I know women who have done so. What are you currently doing for your exercise and nutrition and maybe I can give you some pointers.
Thanks!

Hi Sandy,
If you have pain in your wrists and can’t put your hands on a flat surface to do a push up, try this:
Put 2 dumbbells on the ground (doesn’t matter the weight) and put your hands on the dummbells while performing the movement). In this way your wrists remain in a more neutral position and pressure is taken off them.
Try this and let me know if it works. Thanks!

Hi Sue,
Yes that’s what I’m saying.
Make your weight training workout more challenging by lifting heavier. It doesn’t always mean going with a small number of reps. I sometimes pick a challenging push up style and perform until I can’t go anymore – and blend my strength workouts with my cardio workouts for some metabolic resistance training. I get great results training like this.
And interval training is the way to go. The good thing is that your workout time will be cut into thirds.
I talk more about this in my upcoming coaching program.
Hope this helps!

Scott,
As an (eh-hem) maturing woman this video was probably the most interesting subject you could have sent me…and it’s the only video I can’t get to work. I actually just came from the one about what to do about weak wrists (which as a licensed massage therapist I really appreciated). Any advise on the 1st issue would be appreciated. Note: I left my website but it is new and I’m just beginning to figure out how to work on it…(affiliates and links and all that). Just so’s you know.

Hey Scott!
I am a 47 year old mum, and I have a C section. I am doing my first Figure Competition in nine short days and I want to encourage everybody here! Yes, I do have a six pack now and I´m loving it! When I started training one year after my son was born I was 35% BF. Now I must be about 10-12% BF and my C section is completely flat! I am delighted with how my body has changed. If I can do it, anybody can!

Hi Crucky,
That’s awesome! Thanks for sharing your story and encouraging everyone. Do you have before/after photos? Did you use a specific exercise or diet program?
You would be a great person for me to interview.
