· Filed Under: Abs Exercise · Abs Mindset · Abs Nutrition

Hi guys and girls

Sorry to put this up so late in the day today.

I’ve been busy working on some videos and getting the final details set for My Ultimate Body Fundraiser.

There’s still time to donate as the first call is Monday.

We are in to the weekend, but the home stretch is near. : )

My Ultimate Body Fundraiser - I need a favor…

July 16th, 2008
· Filed Under: Abs Exercise · Abs Mindset · Abs Nutrition

I’d like to ask you a favor…

I need you to help out a worthy cause for some hungry kids.

I’m working with Trekking For Kids to help out with an orphanage in Tanzania, Africa.

Below you can see actual pictures of the orphanage that Trekking for Kids will be helping this year.

Food, clothing, even a computer for learning…all of this and more through our support.

I have pooled together my friends in the fitness industry to donate their time and spread awareness by giving away something of value to you at the same time.

It’s called My Ultimate Body Fundraiser.

This year you’ll get 19 fitness experts over 7 teleseminars.

We’ll be doing calls on Mindset, Motivation and Success, Diet, Fat Loss, Six-Pack Abs, Women’s Health, and Muscle Building.

You can ask any of the experts your questions on YOUR specific needs.

Hours of awesome interviews with the world’s top fitness and fat loss experts for a measly donation, ALL of which goes to Trekking for Kids.

I don’t keep a penny.

Please go take a look at My Ultimate Body Fundraiser and see how you can help.

And thank you for just reading the page.

If you can’t make a donation, that’s OK.

Just read the page so you’re aware of what’s going on.

And we’ll see you next year.

A very sincere thanks,

Scott

Happy 41st Anniversary Mom And Dad

July 14th, 2008
· Filed Under: Abs Exercise · Abs Mindset · Abs Nutrition

Tuesday, July 15th is my parents 41st wedding anniversary and I want to wish them a very happy day.

It’s rare that you see 2 people married for this long, unfortunately.

But the person I am now, I owe all to them. : )

They will be staying at a really nice luxury hotel and spa called Keswick Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia, the same town I went to college at (University of Virginia).

I wish them a happy anniversary.

Here is a recent picture of my parents (still looking young) and my nephew Benjamin (still looking cute)

Have an amazing day.

Scott
P.S. There is still plenty of time to makeover your body and help some needy kids at the same time at My Ultimate Body Fundraiser.

My Ultimate Body Fundraiser

July 14th, 2008
· Filed Under: Abs Exercise · Abs Mindset · Abs Nutrition

Last year around this time, I helped my friend Kathryn raise money to help out an orphanage in Nepal…

She went on a mission trip through an organization called Trekking for Kids…

Trekking for Kids organizes treks in very far off lands to help less fortunate kids who are alone in orphanages…

I recently learned from Kathryn, that she was again going on a mission trip, this time to help an orphanage in Africa…

Tanzania to be exact…

They will be helping the Msamaria Center, a home for 38 street children - mostly boys…

The children come from various bad situations such as parents dead from AIDS, poor families that abused them, or families that were not caring for them so they all took to the streets to live and were eventually “rescued” by the Msamaria Center where they now live…

The home is in dire need of repairs, and furnishings and the children need food and clothing…

They currently sleep 3 children per bed and they have no tables and a few plastic chairs, no desks for studies- nothing really…

I decided that once again I wanted to help Kathryn raise funds for such a worthy cause to help these kids…

So similar to last year, I have put together a tele-fundraiser…

A tele-seminar where all of the proceeds will go to Trekking for Kids…

Check out My Ultimate Body Fundraiser

I wanted to raise funds, but I also wanted to give back to those who donated…

This is not just any fundraiser…

I’ve called upon the world’s top fitness experts to come together and help me…

And boy did they deliver - 19 experts came forward to help out…

My Ultimate Body Fundraiser is a 7 call teleseminar series…

We’ll be talking about Mindset, Motivation and Success, Diet, Fat Loss, Six-Pack Abs,
Women’s Health and Muscle Building…

Your donation gets you private access to all 7 calls as well as the mp3’s and transcripts
of each call afterwards for yours to keep…

And even better, YOU get to ask the questions on the calls…

It doesn’t get any better than that - you can get help with your own personal needs…

I really think that these will be life changing calls…

And you can help make these kids lives a lot better at the same time…

That’s the most important part…

The first call begins on Monday July 21 at 12:00 pm Eastern…

Even if you cannot attend the calls, you can still write in your questions before the calls
begin and you will be given a copy of the mp3 audio replay of each call and the written
transcripts…

100% of the proceeds of the calls will go to Trekking for Kids…

I won’t see a penny… : )

And because of the exchange rate, a little money goes a long way in Africa…

So our donation will make a huge difference in these kids’ lives…

I hope you can make a donation and help these kids in the orphanage in Tanzania, Africa…

Find out more at My Ultimate Body Fundraiser

A big thanks!

Oh and here is a video clip so you can learn more about Trekking for Kids.

The Top 5 Fat Burning “Ah Ha” Moments

July 11th, 2008
· Filed Under: Abs Exercise · Abs Mindset · Abs Nutrition

I just got this from my buddy Kyle Battis and I wanted to share it with you…

You know what an “AH-HA” moment is right?

It’s one of those times where you come across something that causes a fundamental shift in how you see the world and perceive reality.

Recently Kyle polled some of the members of the Burn The Fat Inner Circle about their Burn the Fat AH-HA’s.

Tom Venuto and Kyle were ‘BLOWN AWAY’ with the response…

(they had over 55 ‘Burn The Fat AH-HA’s‘ submitted!)

Check out all 55 Ah-Ha’s

There are some real ‘gems’ contained in these responses but before I share them with you I wanted to tell you the question that Kyle asked them.

–> He asked them this question:

“Have you ever read a particular paragraph of “Burn The Fat, Feed The Muscle,” came across an interesting idea in an article on the Inner Circle, picked out a piece of ‘Venuto-Wisdom’ in one of Tom’s interviews, or came across any other ‘nugget’ that caused you to experience an “AH-HA” moment?

–> Here are five ‘Burn The Fat AH-HA Moments‘ that Kyle and Tom’s Inner Circle Members submitted:

———————-
BURN THE FAT AH-HA #1.
———————-

“Nearly everyone has set up some sort of limitation for themselves simply by deciding what level of discomfort they are willing to put up with. Achieving your dream body takes a lot of work and discipline.

Yet so many people come up with excuses to avoid a workout, or indulge in junk food, or neglect writing out their goals on a daily basis because of lack of time.”

———————-
BURN THE FAT AH-HA #2.
———————-

“The mind is the missing key for most. Honest truth …I bought the book in ‘04, and skipped straight past the goal setting to read about nutrition and training. That was all I thought I needed from the book.

I did not write goals and I just set out to follow the plan. Some short success followed but ultimate failure. When I revisited the book in 2006, the early chapters on goal setting really hit home with me. I set my first goals and a lot of early success followed. It is so critical.”

———————-
BURN THE FAT AH-HA #3.
———————-

“I listened to Tom’s recent interview today about how to get super-lean lots of things are covered in BFFM but the one statement from the interview that stuck out in my mind was that: we live in a reciprocal universe.

You get what you put into it. And in only 3+ months, I’m already seeing that,

Since January, I’ve lost 20 lbs of fat and have gone from a size 10 to a loose size 6. I’m currently sitting at around 20% bodyfat (down from about 30%).

I know I have a lot of work to do before September but I’m enjoying the journey and looking forward to what my body is capable of. With all of the knowledge I’ve gained so far and continue to gain as well as having a wonderful support system of my family, friends, and trainer, I KNOW I CAN DO THIS!”

———————-
BURN THE FAT AH-HA #4.
———————-

“Track Results Frequently. Seeing results on a spreadsheet or in pictures will always help motivate you to improve or worst case, help you to not fall too far off the wagon.”

———————-
BURN THE FAT AH-HA #5.
———————-

“The body loves nutrient rich food. Improving my diet has taken a lot of time and self examination. Due to my body type I realized maybe a tuna sandwich on wheat bread would not be as good for me as a tuna on a bed of greens and other vegetables.

I have no history of ever being able to eat salads with any consistency. Now I absolutely crave them and eat them twice a day.

This was an impossible thought to me a year ago and not something I strived for necessarily but I eat salads with protein and good fats and the effect on energy levels, immune system, mental health is nothing short of miracle.”

READ 50 MORE BURN THE FAT AH-HA’s
———————————————–

As I mentioned above they had over 55 ‘Burn The Fat AH-HA’s’ that their Inner Circle members wrote in.

They posted all 55 of these “AH-HA’s” on the Inner Circle Blog and they invite you to come sort through some of these gems:

You don’t have to be a member of the Inner Circle to see them and benefit from the ‘boiled-down,’ concentrated fat loss tips straight from the minds of our Inner Circle members.

We hope that you benefit from these “AH-HA’s.”

Do you have your own fat-burning AH-HA moment?

I want love to hear about it.

Just leave a comment and share it for everyone…. : )

Have an amazing day.

30 Day Challenge - Day 9 (how to make it a learning experience)

July 9th, 2008

All right it’s Day 9 already!

Any updates to share?

Here’s something you can do if you’ve fallen off the wagon already.

Get right back up.

Start again.

Don’t wait until the next time I do another 30 Day Challenge.

Get back into it.

Turn it into a learning experience.

Maybe you gave up sweets, but you had a piece of cake.

Don’t beat yourself up over it.

Take out a piece of paper and write down how you could have planned better so it doesn’t happen the next time.

Learn from it.

Nobody’s perfect.

Just get back up as quickly as possible.

Have an amazing day!

30 Day Challenge - Day 8

July 8th, 2008

We’re into week 2 of the 30 Day Challenge and nearly 1/3 done already.

I hope you had the chance to listen to my interview with Kevin Gianni on how to stay motivated.

One thing you can do right now is take out a piece of paper and pen and imagine the 30 days are up and you did really well for the entire challenge.

Write down the answers to these questions…

How do you look?

How do you feel?

How has your life changed in the last 30 days?

On the back of the paper, imagine the 30 days are up and you really fell off the wagon.

Write down the answers to these questions…

How do you look and feel?

Are you ashamed because you still look the same?

Do you feel embarrassed?

Do you feel bad because you didn’t stick with it?

You want to be that person that stuck with it!

Do everything you can to complete this challenge.

Have an amazing day.

30 Day Challenge - Day 6

July 6th, 2008

It’s day 6 of your 30 Day Challenge.

Yesterday was Saturday, but it wasn’t too difficult for me.

I did some sprint training in the morning and finished off the workout with some bleachers.

I stayed in last night, a got a little work done and didn’t really have any temptations.

I want to get some feedback from you, though.

Is going through this challenge together helping you at all?

Is it helping you overcome some obstacles that you previously had trouble overcoming.

We’re almost through 1 week and I’m just curious if this has been worthwhile for you, if you’ve gotten something out of it and what other type of support you would like.

Please post your comments.

Have an amazing day!

Scott

30 Day Challenge - Day 5

July 5th, 2008

All right, it’s Saturday and day 5 of the 30 day challenge.

By the end of today we’ll already be 1/6th of the way through.

See it’s not too bad.

OK, so I had some temptations to deal with yesterday.

I saw the movie Wanted yesterday afternoon, which is a great action flick.

I recommend seeing it if you haven’t already.

Movies aren’t a big temptation because it’s rare that I want any movie snacks.

I mean, who wants to pay 4 bucks for a candy bar anyway?

But I knew we were headed to a happy hour afterwards so I planned ahead and got a Jamba Juice smoothie for the movie.

That way I wouldn’t be starving after the movie.

So after the movie my friends and I went to a happy hour at a place called Blue Mesa.

While they wolfed down chips and salsa, quesadillas, and margaritas, I had a chicken salad and some ice water.

My friends were giving me a little bit of the business, calling me the “Single Ingredient Guy” by the end of the night, but it was all in good fun.

We finished up at another bar where my friends drank some more and we all played some pool.

It was a fun night and I think I planned well.

I hope you had a great Friday and 4th of July.

I would love to hear how you’re doing.

Post your comments.

What’s working for you and what isn’t?

Do you need help?

Let’s all help each other.

That’s the best way to get through this.

Have an amazing day.

Scott
