1:47 pm
Excellent advice..I have one small problem when it comes to cravings, I don't ever actually get any..I almost never get really hungry, not anymore. I don't eat much of sugar or things like cake or candy, don't drink soda or high calorie drinks..my problem clearly lies from stress..and I thought about that the whole time I watched your video, so that is my homework..to reduce the stress in my everyday life.
As to how I will feel with out the belly fat..I will feel awesome!!
1:53 pm
I LOVED your ideas to eliminate cravings. Definitely a powerful image and will use it next time my cravings appear. I would love to win a copy of your program as my body is fighting me as I've been trying to get it in shape.
2:03 pm
This is great Scott! I am going to try the visualization for the cravings and definitely keep up with my relaxation techniques and pick one to incorporate from your slideshow. Why I want to lose the belly fat? I just really want to be able for once in my life wear a sexy dress and feel beautiful, confident and strong! The accomplishment I'd feel would boost my self confidence immensely!! Thank you again for all you do to help us Scott!
2:04 pm
Hi-I love the suggestions! Especially the negative association to control cravings. I am trying to train for a figure competition and sometimes boredom, stress, etc happens and I cave to the cravings. This will help so much!!! Looking forward to the over 40 program!
Thanks!

I have type2 Diabetes, which requires I take insulin to control blood sugar. The Insulin makes it very hard to lose belly fat, any suggestions?
2:18 pm
My problem is that I crave sweets all the time, especially in the evenings. Next time I do have a craving, I will try and visualize myself how I will feel looking at myself in the mirror eating somthing that's not good for me while on the scale, because I do get on the scale very often. Also all your other techniques sound pretty good too about the relaxation. I need to start relaxing more everyday from all the stress I have. Thanks Scott.
2:31 pm
I found this video very interesting, few proffessinoals bother with the psycology found with weight loss. these tips I found usesful, and I am going to try them out.
2:38 pm
Thanks for the info on cortisol and Insulin, I have a lot of cravings during a day for chocolate and all that junk….and of course I give in to them every time.:-(..What I do though is I simly think of the calories these cravings add to my body but never about the relationship between the hormones and what they do to me…..so just reading/hearing it again that it is not just calories but much worse stuff these cravings bring along ….it might help to NOT give in one day…. the association technique naked on the scale is something I d heard of before but in conjunction with the info about the hormones I ll give it another try…… Flat Belly Over 40 Programme sounds like a good companion for that route.
2:50 pm
Great idea on how to stop cravings, I will be trying it today! Also I know that stress definitely has had an effect on my weight gain this past year and I so will be trying some of the ideas you suggested to see if I can reduce some of the stress in my life. Thanks Scott
2:54 pm
Hi Scott! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the visualization technique. I will start using that immediately! Thanks so much. I would love to win a copy of your new program. I think I'll start visualizing that!
3:43 pm
These videos are great. I am not 40 but would still love to lose belly fat! I do your workouts and they are Killer! Thanks for all your effort you put into all of things you offer!
4:09 pm
Thanks so much for sharing this information with us, I really appreciate it.
4:36 pm
The idea of picturing myself on a scale while eating the food I thought I wanted was terrific!! I knew intellectually that those foods weren't good for me, but this helps me connect to the actual effect, not just the emotional. It also works well to encourage me to eat properly, because I can visualize the positive effects of truly healthy eating.
4:43 pm
I am in the process of going to a hypnotherapist to lose my belly fat, and you both have the same thoughts and methods. Your comments really double my efforts to lose it. Along with your video, I know I can finally get into those "small" jeans. Wonderful thanks.
5:30 pm
Thanks Scott for offering us the chance to win a free program. Your ideas are all terrific and most appreciated. My Thanks.
5:42 pm
I have a real problem at night after dinner with wanting to eat junk food. I am going to try the visualization techniques, it sounds like a really good plan! I am struggling to lose 10 pounds, and I really appreciate the advice.
5:54 pm
Scott,
The idea of watching myself standing naked while eating is so painful to me that you may have just helped me to solve my major problem. I really want to lose the belly fat so I won't have to worry so much about my heart and health and can now concentrate on helping my wife recover from knee replacement and handle her Parkinsons. Thanks Scott
Ron
5:56 pm
I can't stand to look at myself in the mirror in the nude and so to visualise myself nude on the scales and linking this to eating the foods I crave – wow that's powerful. I'll be trying that as the day and weeks go on. Would love to win a program.
5:59 pm
I want to loose my belly fat, so I will be healthier. Heart disease runs in my family and a larger waist size is not good to have with heart disease.
6:39 pm
Thanks for the great ideas .. will have to try to implement some of those techniques … but really I don't usually have cravings (well, unless there's a reason — ya know, female stuff
… but my issue is getting rid of this belly fat … being 40, I'm almost afraid that it's going to continue to hang out with me FOREVER .. please help!!! LOL … thanks Scott!
6:39 pm
Fantastic Scott. What I love about your approach is that it is so holistic. You go far beyond foods to eat and not eat and when, and exercise. I also think your Action Steps are a really good approach. I'm really impressed. Thanks for sharing this with us.
6:57 pm
I knew insulin overload was bad if you are trying to lose weight but never knew cortisol from stress was so bad. I am bad about reaching for sweets when I get stressed because they seem to calm me down for awhile. Will try to substitute listening to some relaxing music instead of reaching for a chocolate bar. Really want to lose the belly fat because it makes me feel old.
7:10 pm
hi scott, the information you have given is valuable to us and gives us an idea of why things behave in our body the way they do, and instead of hearing some new scheme of diets this info really gives the inside to how to make it work properly with a full deck of cards not just some and leave you wondering why your body behaves the way it does, thanks a lot for this valuable info and techniques it s great that someone one wants to expose what really does go on thanks debbie
7:20 pm
I think these tips were very helpful because for me the key is finding something to do other than give into my cravings. I get the impulse to snack and I feel overcome and out of control of my thoughts unless I act on the impulse. I think any of these action steps will create a space where the craving will lose its power at lleast temporarily. But if it does come back, I'll have another action to put it off again! I'll try to keep it up all evening, then I'll be so relaxed that going to bed will be a pleasure on top of the pride and happiness of not having eaten uneccessarily.
7:43 pm
Thank you Scott, Great information. Wished I knew about it sooner it's very enlightening. I am 54years old, and have 4 wonderful children. Listened to and tried all sorts of exercise and diet regimes, but nothing seems to make an impression on my belly fat. I find your advice very helpful.
8:35 pm
Very helpful. I have high cortisol levels and I am looking forward to trying these techniques.
9:35 pm
Hi Scott
Great to make a nice explanation about how the mind-food connection works in making us fat. I found the techniques very easy and helpful, I am sure your program is as good as this videos, so I hope I will be lucky to win one copy.
Thanks for your efforts in making a healthier world

10:18 pm
this is a great advise and will try to do it everyday. thanks.
10:50 pm
Scott, thanks for the great information – imagery is an excellent technique…..I find all of your suggestions so practical – they do work. Roz
12:46 am
I watched. I listened. I'm still hopeful even after years of disapointment. I will try it your way. Thank you for the direction.
2:18 am
Hello Scott, I have always had a problem with cravings even when I'm full after a big dinner. You are right, willpower alone will not break the habit, it may work for a few days but ultimately the cravings win! I think the negative and visual associations are a very clever technique to employ and are going to be a big help to me. I am 46 and was convinced I would have my little belly fat forever but with your advice I may just conquer it once and for all! Thank you.
2:49 am
Excellent techniques. You went through them really quickly on the video. Is there any way you could send them out in an email for us to keep? If not I will watch it again and write them out.
What a scary thought to think about eating on a scale naked.
thanks for the tips. They are great
6:15 am
Scott – Thanks for all of your tips. I'm 59 and probably in the best shape of my life now thanks to you and others. Still need to get from 11% body fat down to those single digits though. I'd love a copy of your program.
7:12 am
Your Tip to Eliminate Cravings was really wonderful.I will try to put in practice.
7:20 am
loved the video..especially the info on relaxation!!!!
7:24 am
WHy do I want to lose the fat – Just ask my six grandchildren – they all want me around whe they graduate form college and get married!
7:28 am
Hey Scott, I'd like to loose my belly fat because I think every father should be able to run and catch (and keep up with) his 6 yo boy until he's at least 13. I can't. Haha!
7:29 am
I woud love to win a copy of this program. I would also like to see the video but both times I have tried it states that the video is not available. I am so disappointed because I'd really like to view this video. Thanks, Trish
7:34 am
I am a group fitness instructor, 41 yrs old, and although I do a variety of physical activities in various degrees of intensity and monitor my nutrition, I still have stubborn fat around the mid section….How frustrating! Maybe hormones are the culprit! Thanks for all the great info and support you constantly deliver!!
7:35 am
I love the idea of ASSOCIATING THE EVENT to a bad feelings.
For example : When I am going to drink beer I can associate it with my feelings next day ( The hangover ) so I will decide NOT to drink, becuase my next day will be a nightmare. Same situation with smoking, eating junk food, just to mention a few.
Thanks Scott.
7:37 am
The video was great!
But I need this book.
Why? Because I feel like if I don't lose this fat, I'm gonna die. I no longer function like a normal person. Tieing my shoes is an aerobic activity. Breathing is a chore..and that's 24/7 ! I have a small frame. In good shape, I had a 29" waist. Now, at 40" + and 222 pounds, I don't feel like doing anything. I don't want to go anywhere…too self concious.
If i don't win the book, please tell me where to buy the damn thing!
7:39 am
I am sick and tired (psychologically) or feeling sick and tired (physically). I need to change not only my activity level, but also my diet and my attitude about foods.
7:44 am
Hi Scott, as always, your advice and videos are spot on! You did forget to say "Lock the Door" when you stand naked on the scale while eating so you don't freak out your husband! I do like the visualization technique. I listen to a CD that has you go through a buffet line and imagine the person in front of you picking the fatty, greasy foods. Imagine what his body is doing while he eats this garbage – the sweating, the increased heart rate…you get the picture. Then you pick the healthy items and imagine how good your body feels. Visualization is awesome! And that is how I am going to feel when I lose da belly. Actually, I already feel awesome – I will just look awesome too
7:45 am
Thanks for the information. Listened to it again. I'm hoping it helps.
7:46 am
I am resolute to lose that last cladding hiding my abs. Some work has been done, much more is needed. This program will get me there. Thanks for being our coach Scott..
7:46 am
After reading about the 9 hormones, I'm sure cortisol is my problem. The relaxation suggestions are great…. can't wait to try them.
7:46 am
Great info Scott! I'd love to lose some belly fat to 1) look better, 2) set a good example, 3) help reduce my creeping blood pressure and 4) did I mention looking better!
7:47 am
I would love to lose this belly fat , so that I can fit properly in my clothe. next having too much belly fat will lead to heard desease, which is my biggest concern for losing this belly fat, I work out a lot, but still cannot get rid of this belly.
7:47 am
WHY do I want to lose my belly fat – I want to look better! But also, I am coming to terms that I can no longer take my health for granted. My grandfather had diabetes, my mother has diabetes and I had gestational diabetes; if I don't do something now, I will end up carrying on the family tradition for sure.
7:49 am
I'd like to be able to go to the pool and not be ashamed to take my shirt off. The only saving grace is that most of the guys in my age range (I'm 49) look worse than I do.
7:51 am
I am currently struggling with a slipped disc at L4-5, and doctor says reducing the bellyfat will help with my forward tipping pelvis
7:53 am
Scott as always with your vids, great content and realistic advise with clear methods of achieving your goals. I would love a copy of "Flat Belly as I am 70 years young (just) and have problems with my left ankle made much worse by my extra weight around my waist and stomach although I eat mostly veg and white meat and exercise regularly I just can't shift this stubborn fat.
7:56 am
I want to llok smart and fit.
7:57 am
Scott, I suffer from Candida – I love sweet food. I restrain myself, yet still my belly blossoms. I'm SO darn sick of staring at my bloated belly. I'm in great shape apart from my stomach. I am on exactly the same wavelength as you when it comes to healthy eating – I eat as much Organic as I am able – however, I need some advice. I'd hugely appreciate getting a copy of your program
8:01 am
Good info on hormones that I was not aware of. Thanks
8:01 am

I would love to win a copy of your new program to aid both myself and my boyfriend in our battle of the belly bulge. Next month we are taking the next step and moving in together. We'd really like to crack down on our health and fitness. I have a tumor on my pituitary gland which hampers my weight loss efforts, and my boyfriend has diverticulitis and back problems which have had him out on disability three times this year already. I know the benefits of losing our bellies will be many … especially for him – he knows many of his back problems stem from carrying around the extra weight around his middle.
8:11 am
Thanks Scott! Ur info is awesome!! I LOVE the visulation tech! I am so ready to lose my belly fat. I can't wait to try your program and would love to win a copy and apply it in my daily routine and know it will help me over this final major hurdle. I am going to apply the visulation tech right away and I am sure that will give me a jump start on me losing some of my belly jiggle! I am 38, in the gym 3-4 times a week but my last 15lbs won't go! I see girls with FLAT stomach's and wish mine was like theirs!!! I would love to be an example for the super smokin results I am sure I will achive with your program!! I am on board with this….BRING IT ON!! =-)
8:16 am
Is an excellent way to motivate myself and try to live in good shape, and healthy.
Good shape and healthy is good way to be happy.
8:18 am
I have a major problem with acid reflux, and yesterday my doctor advised me if I would loose 2-4 inches off of my waist size (belly size) it would help my acid reflux problem greatly. I have taken a lot of steps toward loosing weight but the belly fat doesn't seem to go away. I'm 6'1'' and weigh 219 wear a size 36 pants, but Dr. says I have a true 40 inch waist by the way he measures. If your program will help loose the belly fat it would be great to see if it helps the sever acid reflux problem I have suffered with for more years than I can remember.
8:18 am
You are really overdelivering & we are soakin' it up!
I'm waiting to finish up this comment from my whole heart- Thankyou for the great inspirational info!
Waiting to finish writing, so I can go visualize those amazing exercises you suggested which I'm sure are the lost keys to success.

I really want to see my six pack abs again. I exercise a lot already, but the gut is the hardest thing to kick. I understand that belly fat is the worst thing you can have, and that it can prove lethal in the long run. Controlling my cravings and burning the calories I'm storing is something I very much want to do. I want to be healthy for a very long time. Not to mention, I want to look good too…
8:23 am
sorry for the repeat blog, my computer kept telling me the session didn't connect. SORRY !! Mike
8:25 am
I have a visceral feeling that my visceral fat is detrimental to my viscera. Scott Colby is definitely the king of push-ups and one day old beards!
8:32 am
I would like to lose the belly fat as it looks unhealthy and I am not comfortable with it. Fortunately most of my friends and family at my age(50)looks a lot worse, but that is still not comforting!
8:33 am
Sweet! I love your approach!
Why do I want to lose my belly fat? …so I can look as sexy as I feel!
…also, to make sure I'm protecting myself from further disease and imbalance in my body.
8:51 am
I am a fitness professional and work out almost every week 5-7x a week (HIIT and other various forms of intensity training in the water). I have also hit my "mid life" mark and I am finding it very frustrating to not lose the "belly" fat even though it has gone down quite a bit since I really started intensity training. I would love to have a copy of Flat Belly over 40 to gain some new insight and put it to the test!
8:52 am
Good info – interesting tactic. But the heck with flat abs at 40, how about flats abs over 50???
8:55 am
I would LOVE to have a flat belly…would probably be the first time in my life! I think it would be very sexy.
9:00 am
FANTASTIC TIPS SCOTT!! I start up a new boot camp class in two weeks and want to give campers (about 60 women total) an opportunity to meet once a week to learn about the mental side of weight-loss. There's SO much more to why people (women especially) have cravings and your tips about how to be VICTORIOUS over those urges are super! I think your combination of educating folks about HOW the body utilizes food and the interaction of hormones along with these tips to combat cravings is crucial! It ultimately takes the BODY, MIND, and SOUL (our will) to really make a change for our health! Keep up the great work!
9:01 am
When I was 20 years old I lost 80 pounds and from that point on in my life I was for the most part very disciplined when it came to food and exercise. I am now 50 years old and in January I gave up smoking after 34 years. Two months after I quit smoking my Dad passed away and so needless to say it was an extremely stressful time in my life. I managed to get through it and to date remain smoke free. I however managed to put on 10 pounds and most of it seemed to have gone around my belly,. I having been trying everything to get rid of it with no luck. Winning this would be my bonus for quitting smoking and hopefully the tools I need to get rid of this 10 lb.
9:03 am
I want to lose my belly fat so I have the energy and clear thinking that will be required of me to take care of my mother-in-law who has dementia. Her health situation and need for care make me extremely aware of how I need to be the kind of healthy your program will teach and help me to be. I'm 51, my husband is 54 – and we still have kids at home who would love their parents to be fit and energetic. Thank you, Scott, for the opportunity to win a copy of your program for our age group.
9:23 am
Thank you for all the info you have shared with us over the years. Cravings have been a big problem for me but I need to lose my belly fat for myself.
9:23 am
Great information. I got the belly and need the course.. Hope I win so I can lose!
Keep up the great work.
9:30 am
Great info, Scott. Hoping to get rid of this bell fat once and for all!
9:30 am
Thanks Scott this information was helpful I am not 40 but I use some of your exercises and they help. I want to lose my belly fat so I can get my six pack abs. That is one of my goals in life.
9:46 am
I would love a copy of Flat belly over 40 program. I have had a problem with belly fat for a while. My clothes would fit better with a flat belly. My health would be improved and my risk lowered for different illness.
9:49 am
Oh my! Some of your info was great especially the stess relieving techniques but the visualization technique?? Are you trying to create a new population of people with anorexia and depression? Sure in theory it may be a good idea but you are also giving people a negative image of their bodies..A piece of chocolate once in awhile will NOT cause belly fat and it is actually healthy as long as it is in MODERATION. I see beautiful women everyday battling with self image and now you are asking them to stand on a scale naked in front of a mirror with a piece of chocolate..irresponsible if you ask me..and I know you didn't. Everything else I heard was awesome and spot on.
Shawn
9:51 am
I'd love to lose my belly fat not only to improve my self-image but I'm tired of feeling that ring of fat every time I sit. I also know that it's not good for my health and added to my age, there's a definite detriment to my health.
9:54 am
Hi Scott,
Great technique for dealing with cravings. I am definitely going to try this one. I really want to get the "grief" weight off so I can get back to being the healthy role model to my family and friends.
10:16 am
I NEED to win a free copy of the Flat Belly Over 40 Program. I'm a hypertensive, type II diabetic who works out often, and eats healthy most of the time. I have toned legs and arms but my belly….well…it's fat!! I'm committed but obviously need help.
10:18 am
I will try this for chocolate since I get cravings for this on an almost daily basis in the evening hours.
10:21 am
Why do I want to lose belly fat? Because I need to lose belly fat. I'm in decent health but I know the longer I hold on to the belly fat the more damage that is being done to my body.
10:31 am
No more CAVE TO THE CRAVE !
Thank you Scott for this incredible info. Been using the mirror technique on my Nutrasweet craving. Works really well. How do I get this Flat Belly Over 40 program?
Look forward to more info. Thanks again.
10:47 am
I'm working out pretty hard with body weight and free weights (and truck tires and kettle bells and leverage clubs) about 3 times a week right now. I'm working hard, I'm getting to that point where my aerobic capacity is challenged (sucking wind) and I'm feeling stronger and more toned every day. My trainer told me that I have amazing core strength. I was doing some work in the gym yesterday and I said to another trainer "Don't be fooled. Underneath all of this is a lot of muscle…." That's why I want to lose belly fat. I want to look as good on the outside as I'm starting to feel on the inside. I'll be able to help more people that way.
10:50 am
Great video Scott. Loved it. Will try out the mirror and scale idea next time I get a craving for chocolate. One thing that does seem to work for me at the moment is taking a couple of dates, tearing them in half and filling each half with an almond. That or eating a small piece of ginger. Craving generally gone after that.
Anyway, I'd love a copy of your new program. I know I have a six pack in there somewhere
10:53 am
belly fat is very unhealthy…that's why I want mine gone!
11:25 am
My belly fat exists before 40 I want mine gone by 40!
11:30 am
I want to lose weight because I want to be the best me I can be in a total well being way.
Gail
12:03 pm
Your ideas are great and very helpful! I want to lose belly fat for several reasons: I don't feel good, physically or emotionally. As I've gotten older, I've tended to just say – that's the way it is – I'm just going to be bigger. Intellectually, I know that doesn't have to be true, but I'm having trouble getting the motivation to change it. Physically, though, I know that increased belly fat is only an indication of an all over increase in fat and I'm just adding more stress to my body. I've found that now I am retaining fluid in my feet and lower legs which tells me my circulation isn't working right. I feel tired and sluggish most of the time. Actually, just writing this is making me think – "okay get off your butt and get moving" because I know that when I exercise, I feel better. Anyways, hope I win – I need the help!!
12:05 pm
I would love to get a copy of this book to get rid of belly fat. Being over 50 and heavy at one time and now lost weight- still fat around the mid section – been overweight all my life – and being fat around the middle – I could not find clothes to fit, and what I eat ,even healthy was not working – so I like to once in my life feel like I have control over my body and do something about it
I love the information you provide.
12:09 pm
Would love to get a copy of your body – am over 50, am overweight all my life- went on a massive weight loss , exercise plan, lost weight but still have too much body fat – still feel self conscious – and still feel fat – would love to take my life and put it in control once a for all and feel the self confidence and esteem in life.
12:12 pm
I would love a copy!! After working out so many years and getting great results everywhere else on my body my stomach has been my "achillies heel" so to speak. It seems whatever i do, including watching my diet relentlessly i just never achieve exactkt the kind of abs, (mostly lowere) that I desire
12:34 pm
My goal is to have a flat belly once again. I'm 45 nearing 46 soon, and would like to fit into my skinny jeans again. Knowing that I've reached this type of goal before really gives me incentive to go for the flat belly @ 40 once more. I need all the tips I can get. I need to overhaul my eating habits so seeing myself naked eating in front of the mirror is a really BIG wake up call. I need to nix my sweet cravings!!
12:38 pm
Gotta face it…rock hard abs are sexy at any age and great to protect the lower back and all around good health… Would love to get your flat belly info so I can keep my belly flat every day, week, month and year… Can't wait to show you the results…
Keep on keeping on…
12:48 pm
What a great video, Scott! Thank you. I know I need to relax and all of your suggestions sound great. I will watch this video again to reinforce what I've learned and will start trying these techniques tonight. I have a great desire to transform my body but up until now the transformation hasn't been happening the way I would like or as quick as I would like. However, I will not give up. I KNOW it will happen and I believe your new program will help me lose not only all my unwanted belly fat but all my unwanted body fat, so I sure hope I'm one of the lucky winners. I know I need your guidance so thanks again for these awesome videos and thank you for a chance to win!
12:57 pm
Dude that visualization is not a pretty sight!! What the heck!! Love it though. I never thought of it that way! I wish I knew that technique during my first battle with my sugar and chocolate cravings. I finally got rid of them but it wasn't easy! Thanks for this tip. I'll give it a shot just before I go to the restaurant to try and head off the craving at the pass.
As for the relaxation techniques, thanks for that list. I am doing a couple of them now and they help but now I have a few more to choose from to add to my arsenal. I'll let you know how it works.
It's soo important for me to lose my bellyfat not only for vanity reasons but mostly health reasons. I know that belly fat is said to be the worst and I want to be around to watch my granddaughter and grandson grow up (and give my oldest daughter a good run for her money – lol).
Also, I am just plain tired that when I bend at the waist and I try to do a deadlift or romanian deadlift, quad and hamstring stretch or even cross my leg and tie my shoes or paint my toenails, it's hard and sometimes I have to find alternative and creative methods to accomplish because of my belly. It really sucks!
Thanks for everything, the information, the opportunity and the videos.
1:59 pm
I'm 59 years old. Up until two years ago I was in good shape. I gained 50 lbs since then.
Help.

Enjoyed the vids. The eye opener may have been , when people have cravings, stand on the scale with no clothes on eating in front of a mirror,, never heard of that b4 now,, excercise, eat right wil help balance hormones,.
The reason I would like to lose weight and keep it off is due to Asthma,Fibromyalgia,, , I would like to not experince any more health problems as I get older ,get my weight controlled ,keep it off ,look good ,feel good, be a role model, leader, example for people to follow so they can set their goals, lose weight, keep it off, bring up their confidence and self esteem, look good feel good too, give them tools so they can have success stories and triumphs too..

my life has been a roller coaster recently. i delivered a premature baby at 33 weeks, two weeks after losing my mother and my grandmother, two weeks apart, and obviously I've been under a lot of stress lately, no wonder i delivered early. anyway, before my baby i never had a weight problem but now every strategy that i used doesn't deliver the same results as they did before. i don;t know if it's my hormones or what but the last 10 pounds would not budge no matter all the weight training and the HIIT sessions religiously every week. i'm not doing long boring cardio sesions or pink 2 pounds weight training sesions. i'm doing all the right stuff but the weight isn't moving. it's so frustating. i'm a very disciplined kind of gal so if i won this program i will follow it to the letter and i'm very positive that i'll work, i just need some guidance.

Thanks Scott!
I did like the idea of reducing the cravings, although I don't have many of those but still feel from time to time that I could use this technique for the few times when a craving does hit!
4:16 pm
Hi Scott I always find what you have to say interesting but none more than how to loose the belly fat over 40. I would love to get a copy because I know it will work. Bring it on! Keep up the good work. Cheers

Hi Scott!
I really enjoy these tips you've given out for losing my belly fat now that I'm well over 40. I think it's great that they aren't things I've heard time and time again, (and don't do). Because it's something different, I'm really looking forward to seeing the whole program. I would love to win a copy and get rid of this belly to get healthier and set an example for those around me!

I’ve never had this much belly fat in my life. I hate jiggling when I walk. It’s so degrading on such a personal, intimate level. I hate the way it looks. I need to drop this belly because it’s not who I am. Someone today told me today that I don’t have love handles, I have a big pot. Lol. And the top reason I want to drop my belly fat is: I had to change my body type on match.com from “athletic” to “a few extra pounds”. Talk about an all-time low.

This was an awesome video with loads of great information!! Thanks Scott.
Something I use to help relax me in a stressful situation is do some deep breathing (inhale for 6 sec, exhale for 6 sec), begin verbally giving thanks and start praising & worshipping God in song. It's very magical.
WHY do I want to lose my belly fat? Some of it is for vanity, but mainly to be healthy, fit. I've been on this quest since I was 29 (now 42) to get rid of this belly fat once and for all, but due to extreme lifestyle of exercise addiction, too great of caloric deficits, wrong nutrition, sleep deprivation & high stress for many years, I didn't know too much of a good thing IS bad for you.
So, the past 3+ yrs have been getting more sleep, being more balanced & NOT extreme in my exercise, eating healthy & nutritiously, & learning stress relieving techniques for my life. It took years to get to where I am, so I realize it will take some time to lose this belly fat (I'm guessing about 30-40 lbs of bodyfat overall my body).

I have even put myself in the hospital by over-doing the workout routine and yet the damn Tummy is still a Bummy. Your Book would help, I mean, hell I have tried everything esle, it couldn't hurt and could only help. maybe it will keep me out of the hospital this time.

Scott: excellent advice about creating a negative association to combat cravings. My personal experience with quitting smoking might be interesting for some. When my wife became pregnant with our first child, we were both smokers. Early in her pregnancy she developed the negative image of the fetus coughing as a result of her smoking. We talked about that image and were both able to quit as a result of our not wanting to harm the defenseless unborn child. In that sense, it was an interesting blend of a positive and negative association.

Actually I have very few cravings–only when I am feeling hunger pangs. I try to have healthy choices at work like almonds, fruit, baby carrots, that sort of thing.
As I mentioned before, I want to lose the extra 3 in. around my waist. I am a good weight for me, but I believe I have about 34% bodyfat. I want to lower that percentage and reduce my waistline so I would love to have your Flat Belly over 40 program.

I love your ideas on how to stop the cravings. I'm doing well with my workouts, but the jelly belly will not disappear!! I'm 56 years old and I so want to look like I did in my 20's but that's not possible. I would just love to wear the new tops and work out tanks and not feel concious of my tummy. That's the worst part for me.
12:18 am
You have a very intertesting approach to get to the unconscious mind. Also, I never
heard about cortisol causing belly fat.
Thank you Scott.

Do you think there's a link with habitual relaxation and reduced body fat? Have you ever seen an obese oriental who genuinely practises meditation… ie martial artists? If cortisol is indeed the stress hormone, then it appears to make sense to keep relaxed as often as possible. That means stop worrying about the "correct" method to lose bellyfat, coz that stress is contributing to your belly fat? It's simple… but not easy.

I want to lose my belly fat to be an example to all 50 year old women out there. I want to be living proof that a 50 year old woman can be healthy and sexy without operations, just by eating healthy and knowing how to exercise properly.

I really have to work harder not to give in to my cravings for food that is high in sugar and fats especially during the weekends. Your technique in looking at the mirror while naked and eating the 'bad' food is a sure put off. I'm going to try this technique and see if I can start cutting down on the bingeing.

For years I've had these cravings,
your program will be like a bat,
where I can hit those cravings before they get the better of me,
And lose that belly fat!
Hi Scott, silly poem aside, I want to lose that belly fat for good health, and because it will be a daily reminder that I have conquered my nasty habit once and for all.
4:03 am
Why do I want to lose belly fat? First because it would improve my health and make me feel better about my long-term health prospects; second, because I would feel better physically and I would feel better emotionally because it would boost my self-esteem to know that I am healthy and that I look better (it really helps to like what you see in the mirror), and that, in turn, improves health and quality of life. Related to that last bit, and admitting a bit of vanity, I could wear an awful lot of clothes already in my closet that are out of reach now.
8:59 am
I need to loose my belly fat. I am only 5'1". I am very small boned, especially arms and legs. I only put on the weight in the middle. I am concerned about all the fat aound the organs. Thank you for all your helpful information!

hi there,, thank you for the advice, I already practiced the visualization process for my cravingns and it worked wonders, my reaction was a total rejection like I had never felt before, there was no doubt in my mind that I didn't want to eat what I know is not good for me.
Thank you so much for sharing.

I have used negative feedback for several years to avoid eating food that will make me gain weight, but sometimes that gets overided by a need to reduce anxiety or increase energy. However most energy solutions seem to increase anxiety (as many are stimulants). Anxiety reducing solutions tend to decrease energy. So the question is
how to reduce anxiety and increase energy without food?
I have also tried fasting for 1 day ( fiber and water only) , in addition to increased anxiety and decreased energy it can also cause constipation sometimes if do not eat enough of the right types of fiber. But the benefits are about 2 lbs of weight loss ( probabably < 0.5 lb fat loss) and decreased appetite the next day.

Great video! I enjoyed the technique to rid the cravings & am a bit scared to imagine looking in the mirror whiled eating my favorite dessert! That is really going to be a frightening site! HA! That should cure the common cold. HA! I will be using the Equal Count Breathing In & Out for Relaxation.
7:57 pm
Nice. I think I can find time at work to either get away for a few breaks and practice some of the relaxation techniques. If I can do that I think that my stress levels will be managed better. I think I threw up in my mouth a little with the image of me naked on the scale eating some ice cream! Have a good one.

This is a great video and I learned a lot from it. I still need help getting rid of this flap I call my belly. It does not seem to go anywhere. It is a constant annoyance whenever I would like to start running. Please help.
