I love the idea of a new workout being posted every day. I have two questions? 1. Is it ok to do sprints on a treadmill (we just had a blizzard here last night, can’t go outside). 2. How is your workout different from Crossfit. I just started doing crossfit a month ago and find yours similar. How would you compare them. Thanks Keep up the great work. Love your site

Hi Kim – thank you for the comment.
1) Yes you can do sprints on a treadmill, but probably not “all out” sprints, just to be safe. I never run my fastest on a treadmill for safety reasons. I do run pretty fast and then just increase the incline to make it a bit more difficult.
2). I am a fan of Crossfit and I have tried some of their workouts. The workouts I’ll be posting are ones we have done in my fitness bootcamp class. We don’t do Olympic lifts, or pull ups, or muscle ups, or handstand push ups, for example, that the Crossfitters do. In other words, I don’t do some of the more technical movements.
(I do like pull ups, but we don’t have pull up bars where I run my camps. We do perform bodyweight rows, however with the Jungle Gym).
I hope this answers your question.
