How To Overcome A Fat Loss Plateau In 2 Easy StepsNo Comments »

Topics: Abs Exercise, Abs Nutrition

One of the most frustrating things that you may have experienced in a fitness program is overcoming a fat loss plateau.  You start off your program with a bang and drop fat during the first few weeks and then…

Nothing happens.  Your progress comes to a screeching halt and I know that can be very frustrating for you.

Here are 2 things you can do to overcome this and kick start your fat loss again.

1) Slightly reduce your portion sizes.

You may not know this, but the amount of food your body needs is partially dependent on the size you are.  As you lose weight, your body does not require as much food.  But many people keep their portion sizes the same even after they’ve lost a lot of weight.  This is a mistake, so go ahead and slightly reduce your portion sizes.

2) Progressively vary your workouts to make them more challenging.

I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard about people who have been doing the same workout for years.  Not months, but years.  This is a surefire way to hit a plateau in your results.

So what can you do?

If we’re talking about your resistance training, one thing to do is to simply increase amount of weight your lifting.  Do it in a progressive fashion so as soon as your new amount of weight gets too easy, you’re ready to challenge yourself again.

Other things you can do to challenge yourself is to increase the number of reps that you do or to decrease the amount of rest between exercises.

In My First Six Pack, the workouts are designed specifically so that you’ll never hit a plateau.
