Lose Stomach Fat Without Doing Crunches
July 17th, 2008 · Filed Under: Abs Exercise
Howdy,
Did you know you can lose stomach fat without doing crunches?
I know, you’ve probably heard this from me before, but I still see people doing crunch after crunch, almost every day.
These are the people that still have a lot of fat in their belly.
Since crunches are an ineffective exercise for helping you lose stomach fat, I left them completely out of the Bikini Abs Makeover program.
I’ve got a far superior exercise for you to help you lose stomach fat.
The push up!
You’ll need to do other things in regards to your workout and diet program besides just doing pushups.
But watch the video and I’ll show you why the push up is a much better abs exercise that the crunch for helping you lose stomach fat.
Have an amazing day.

Scott can you tell us about the different types of push ups and how they effect different muscle groups? Thanks.

Hi Carmen,
There are so many different types of push ups, but here are a couple of examples.
First off, push ups work primarily your chest, shoulders, triceps and abs. (Most people leave out the abs part).
As you bring your hands closer to each other (think a diamond push up), you use more of your triceps. Further apart and you are working more shoulders and chest.
If you put your feet on a chair and hands on the ground, this is a harder movement. So your abs get more of a workout as do your shoulders. If you were completely inverted and did handstand pushups, that would be roughly equivalent to a shoulder press, so it takes your chest out of it and works your shoulders more.
And then you can make things harder which will force your shoulders and abs to work more like challenging your stability and putting one hand on a medicine ball.
Hope this helps.
