My 3 Favorite Foods While Traveling And A Message To My MomNo Comments »

Topics: Abs Nutrition

I’m having great luck lately while traveling.  This is my 3rd trip in a row where my flight has been delayed.

I’m on my way to Stamford, Connecticut for a conference and just found out that my flight is delayed for 2 hours here at the DFW airport.

But it could be worse, right?

There are a bunch of other people who have been here a lot longer than me and there’s 45 people trying to fly stand by on my flight.

(Mom if you’re reading this, I forgot to tell you but I’m on American Flight 728).

Something else that caught my attention was my confirmation code when I made my flight purchase:  its LOSTMM.  Now I don’t know about you, but I know that there’s a show called LOST that centers around a plane crash.  All right, all right, I’m being a little paranoid here, but it did make me raise an eyebrow. :)

So the topic of this post centers around eating while traveling.  Because you and I both know that there’s not many healthychoices to eat while traveling, either at the airport or on the plane.  As a matter of fact, the Dallas airport just opened a few Dunkin Donuts and I always have to cover my ears so I don’t
hear any chocolate creme filled donuts calling my name.

So here’s what I do when I travel.

The night before I boil a couple of eggs so I have them ready to eat in the morning.  If you know me well, you know I don’t pack until about 15 minutes before its time to leave for the airport, so I’m usually rushing around trying to get things done the day I leave for a trip.  So I’ll have the 2 hard boiled eggs ready to eat the morning of my trip, like this morning.

Then, right before I leave for the airport, I’ll make a fruit smoothie of bananas, strawberries, blueberries and water and put it in a “to go” cup so I can drink it on my way to the airport.  And for the actual plane ride, I usually pack some fruit, like an apple or grapes, and some nuts, like almonds or mixed nuts.
Today I actually have an apple and some raw pistachios for the flight.

Anyway, that’s how I roll when I travel and if you want to be like me, now you can.  Haha.

Now before I get on my plane (well I actually have 2 more hours), I promised my friend Jayson Hunter that I would let you know about something special that he’s put together for his Carb Rotation Diet.

Go here now.  ==> Carb Rotation Diet Special Offer

Have a great Thursday, and remember, if you have any delays like I do, just take a deep breath.

All will be OK.

Scott
