How To Cheat Your Way Thin Over The HolidaysComments

He went over some cool strategies on how you can strategically cheat on your diet and still lose up to 10-15 pounds of ugly body fat in the process. The Abs Expert Answers Diet And Exercise Questions On How To Get Six Pack AbsComments

A Quick Workout To Get A Flat StomachComments
Thanksgiving week is always a good time to remind you that you don’t need to exercise very long, to get a great fat burning workout. Here is a quick 4 minute workout that will help build muscle, get your heart rate up and will assist you in getting a flat stomach (provided you combine this with a proper diet).
The quick 4 minute workout consists of:
DB Push Presses for 20 seconds
10 seconds of Rest
DB Squats for 20 seconds
10 seconds of Rest
4 rounds of each, for a total of 4 minutes. Try and it out and leave a comment so I know how it goes.

Lies In The Weight Loss IndustryComments
The weight loss industry is a multi-million dollar business and I get sick of infomercials on television promising you a flat stomach and six-pack abs if you just buy their device and use it a few minutes a day. You know the infomercials I mean, right? They usually show a guy with ripped abs and a woman in a tiny bikini as models for their product. Do you really believe they got their physiques by doing a few crunches in an “abs lounger?” I hope not. 
The same thing goes for that “magic pill” that promises you’ll shed fat from your waistline while you sleep. I mean, give me a break. If these things work, why do we have the highest incidence in obesity in America today? I have found that in my years of training myself and hundreds of men and women, you will get the best and quickest results with short, intense workouts.
So in other words, you shouldn’t be walking on a treadmill and reading a magazine for an hour every day and call that your workout. This doesn’t produce any real results. Nor should you be doing hundreds of crunches and sit ups every night. That’s not going to get you abs that you’d be proud to show off. On a positive note, if you train the way that I’m going to teach you, your workouts will be a lot shorter. You can kiss the days of hour long workouts goodbye. Or if you’ve been doing 2 hour workouts, you’re REALLY going to be pleased!
Some of your workouts that I’ll show you will take as little as 10-15 minutes. You’ll have plenty of variety in your workouts, some flexibility, and I promise you’ll be looking at exercise in a whole new light. These are the same type of workouts that I put together in my Abs Uncrunched Training System. So flush any diet pills you have down the toilet. And throw away or sell any of the abs gizmos that you were tempted to buy. You won’t need them anymore. Get ready to change your mind, your belief system, your energy, and the way you look and feel. Soft Drinks Are Destroying Your Body – 7 Reasons To Just Say NOComments

Maybe I should say YOU are destroying your body by drinking soft drinks since you’re making the decision whether or not to drink the stuff, right?

I read an article yesterday about the harmful effects of
soft drinks.
Let me summarize the main points of the article, and if
you are a soda drinker, maybe this will help change your
ways.
1) Soft drinks contain little to no vitamins or other
essential nutrients.
2) What they do contain: caffeine, carbonation, simple sugars —
or worse, sugar substitutes — and often food additives
such as artificial coloring, flavoring, and preservatives.
Heck take a can of soda and read the ingredients outloud.
Look how many chemicals are in there. Do you REALLY want
to put that in your body?
3) The USDA recommendation of sugar consumption for a 2,000-
calorie diet is a daily allotment of 10 teaspoons of added
sugars. Many soft drinks contain more than this amount!
4) When sugar enters your body, the pancreas is called upon to
produce and release insulin. Raised insulin levels weakens your
immune system, which weakens your body against fighting illnesses.
5) Most of the excess sugar ends up being stored as fat in your
body, which results in weight gain and elevates risk for heart
disease and cancer.
6) Diet soda is NOT the answer. One study discovered that
drinking one or more soft drinks a day — and it didn’t matter
whether it was diet or regular — led to a 30% greater chance
of weight gain around the belly.
Diet soda contains artificial sweeteners such as aspartame,
sucralose, or saccharin which pose a risk to your health.
7) Think of your kids. This is sad but a lot of research has
found that consumption of soft drinks in high quantity, especially
by children, is responsible for many health problems that include
tooth decay, nutritional depletion, obesity, type-2 diabetes, and
heart disease.
Now, if you drink several cans or bottles of soda each day, you
may not be able to stop cold turkey.
Start slowly and give up one can a day.
A week later, give up a second can a day.
But eventually, you’ve GOT to get this stuff out of your system.
It’s poison to your body.
Replace it with water or some green tea.

Pumpkin Fitness WorkoutComments

When you think of Halloween, most of us think of getting dressed up in a costume and getting a bunch of treats (candy!). Well I’m in the business of getting people INTO
shape, and I’ve got a trick for you – some intense full body exercises using a pumpkin. It’s my pumpkin fitness fat-burning workout. I created this in 2005 and since then dozens of trainers have followed suit and put together pumpkin workouts. Do these workouts a few days per week and you’ll help combat all those Halloween calories you’re putting into your body. You didn’t really think I was going to give you candy for Halloween did you?
Why a Pumpkin?
Simply put, a pumpkin can act as a weighted ball. It comes in various weights and sizes and is less expensive than most fitness equipment. Sure pumpkins don’t last forever, but they are a fun tool to use for exercising during the Halloween season. Best of all, you can use a pumpkin for conditioning and core strengthening. A pumpkin can be one of the most effective training tools to use to train your core. The core of your body consists of the abdomen and lower back musculature. The core serves as the foundation for the arms and legs. All movements begin at the core. As you move, your ability to generate force transcends through the core muscles. So as you can see, it is vital that you have a strong core and training with a pumpkin can help develop core strength.

Foods RevealedComments
All right, thank you everyone who responded. We had 130 comments on the blog and a few more on Facebook. A lot of you said you would choose neither (even though I said you had to choose one of them).
So….drumroll please.
Food #1 was Smart Start cereal (they brand these as Heart Healthy and with Antioxidants.
Here is what is says on the Kellogg’s website:

Here are the ingredients again…
Oat bran,rice, sugar, oat clusters (sugar, toasted oats [rolled oats, sugar,high fructose corn syrup, partially hydrogenated soybean oil, molasses,honey], wheat flakes, crisp rice [rice, sugar, malt, salt], corn syrup,polydextrose, honey, cinnamon, BHT for freshness, artificial vanillaflavor), high fructose corn syrup, malt flavoring, potassium chloride,salt, baking soda, ascorbic acid (vitamin C), niacinamide, zinc oxide,reduced iron, calcium pantothenate, pyridoxine hydrochloride (vitaminB6), riboflavin (vitamin B2), thiamin hydrochloride (vitamin B1), BHT(preservative), vitamin A palmitate, folic acid, vitamin B12, vitamin D.

Now remember, not everyone gave me an answer but 49 of you (if I counted correctly) said you would choose food #2 – Fruit Loops – although all of you weren’t happy about me making you choose one.

I’m not picking on these 2 cereals specifically I’m trying to make a point on how we are deceived into thinking that one of these is healthy (Smart Start) if we just read the front of the box. Heck I used to eat cereals like these all the time.
In fact, when I was a kid, my mom tried to feed us “healthy” cereals, such as Smart Start. Not that one specifically, because it wasn’t around then, but you get the idea. And we weren’t allowed to have the “sugary” cereals like Fruit Loops, unless we were visiting Grandma Colby and then it was a treat.
Unfortunately, she probably didn’t realize the crap that’s in a lot of these so called “healthy” cereals. And unfortunately, there are a lot of moms feeding their kids these types of “healthy” cereals – not realizing what’s in them. And a lot of adults are eating them too.
So please, read the ingredient label and, for the most part, stop eating cereal altogether.
