Regis Interviews Me for Abs Uncrunched / Mercury Found in HFCS11 Comments

Topics: Abs Exercise

Hey I was in Los Angeles last weekend for a business conference, and I was doing a little book tour for Abs Uncrunched. Two celebrities interviewed me about my book including Regis Philbin. We captured it on video and you can watch the entire interview below. I would love to hear your comments. I’ll talk about the other interview next week.

Even more important was an article I read about a new study that says high fructose corn syrup contains mercury. “Almost half of tested samples of commercial high-fructose corn syrup (HFCS) contained mercury, which was also found in nearly a third of 55 popular brand-name food and beverage products where HFCS is the first- or second-highest labeled ingredient, according to two new U.S. studies.”

Because there are lots of foods that contain high fructose corn syrup and mercury is toxic, our health could be in even more danger than we though by consuming HFCS. Especially kids health as they consume even more HFCS than adults. Of course the corn refiners organizations are saying it’s a bogus study and blah blah blah.

My opinion is simple – nothing good is gained by eating foods with HFCS at all. It’s not nutritious so why bother eating any foods with HFCS in the first place? What’s your opinion? And what do you think of these new findings?

Have an amazing day and enjoy the video of Regis and I. :)

Pizza, Chocolate Pie and a Flat Stomach1 Comment

Topics: Abs Nutrition

Hey! So as you may know, I’m going through my Abs Uncrunched program and I’m in week 3 of the program.

This past Saturday I ate a medium cheese pizza and a chocolate cream pie as my reward meal. But already I’m noticing a difference as I’ve already burned off some belly fat and my stomach is flatter.

You see, you don’t want to deprive yourself of your favorite foods, even when your goal is to get a flat stomach or 6-pack abs. Your favorite foods can be a part of a supportive eating plan. Nutrition principle #5 in the Abs Uncrunched program: For one meal a week, eat your favorite foods. And boy did I make it count this past week. ;)

Remember, you can follow my entire diet on Twitter. And speaking of Twitter, I’m being interviewed tonight at 9 pm Eastern, 8 pm Central as part of the Twitter Trainers Program. Hop on the call and ask me a question..

Check out the chocolate cream pie I had. What’s your favorite reward meal. Leave your comments as I would love to know.

Have a great day…

Your Fish Oil Questions AnsweredComments Off

Topics: Abs Nutrition, Podcasts

Hey there! I hope you had a great weekend.

Last week I made a video telling you that you can burn up to 400 extra calories daily by using a fish oil supplement. You can get even better results using a krill oil and I recommend using this one.

2 questions came in after I posted the video and I wanted to make sure they were answered…

Question #1: I have heard that eating fish oil will make the blood thinner, so that people planning to undergo surgery should be careful, would not 15 gr/day make your blood dangerously thin, if you should get into an accident and bleed? That is what I thought and have heard, but nothing I really do have the knowledge on. Can you please advise in that issue?

Question #2: How does fish oil compare to krill oil that Dr Mercola recommends?

I brought in registered dietitian Jayson Hunter, author of The Carb Rotation Diet, to answer these 2 questions.

Check out the audio below…

Have an amazing day!

The Body Fat Solution by Tom Venuto is released today1 Comment

Topics: Abs Exercise, Abs Mindset, Abs Nutrition

My friend and colleague Tom Venuto has recently written an amazing book called The Body Fat Solution and it hits the bookshelves today. I promised Tom I would help him spread the word about the book. Just to let you know, this is NOT a mainstream diet and exercise book. But rather it focuses more on your beliefs, how to give yourself an attitude adjustment, how to end emotional eating and it helps you find a support system that will help you in your fat loss journey. It truly is different from any other diet and fitness book that I’ve read.

Tom gave me an advanced copy of the book. My thoughts about the book can be seen in the video below.

To be honest, Tom is trying to get this book #1 on Amazon in the health and fitness category. So help the push, he is giving away 13 bonuses worth $265 to anyone who orders 2 or more copies.

Here’s what to do next:

—————————————————————–
HOW TO GET THE BOOK, GET 13 FAST ACTION BONUSES

Take Your “Before” Picture Today2 Comments

Topics: Abs Exercise, Abs Nutrition

Hey I want you to do something for me today. So many of you started a new diet and exercise program yesterday. That’s great – I did too! I’m following my own Abs Uncrunched program. :)

Do me a favor (if you haven’t done so already), take some “before” pictures and put them somewhere you can see them. We all know the scale doesn’t work, right? I hope we’re in agreement about that. ;) One of the best ways you can monitor your progress is by looking at your pictures.

I would recommend taking pictures from the front, back and side while wearing a swimsuit or something similar. And I suggest doing this every month you are following your program. I know it might be embarrassing – I mean heck I sure didn’t want to take my “before” pictures and put them on this blog for the whole world to see. But it really helped me stay focused on my goals.

Oh, and one more thing about the scale. Below are my before/after photos taken at the end of 2007. I was developing the Abs Uncrunched program at the time and testing it on myself. I don’t know how much I weighed in either picture. Didn’t care and it didn’t matter. Heck I could have weighed the same both pictures for all I know. But if I didn’t lose any weight in 12 weeks, would my program have been a failure? No, because I melted fat and built nice, lean muscle and got the results I was looking for. And comparing my before and after photos helped me see that.

So throw out the scale! :)

Want to take it a step further? Do 2 things:

1) Schedule a photo shoot 12 weeks from now with a professional photographer.
2) Keep a blog and announce to the world what you’re doing and continually update your progress.

Good luck,

Scott

Watch Me Eat – Abs Uncrunched Show Episode 203 Comments

Topics: Abs Exercise, Abs Nutrition

OK so you’re not going to really watch me eat. Although that might be entertaining, you might soon tire of it. ;)

But, starting on January 5, you can follow me on Twitter and see exactly what I’m eating and what workouts I’m doing. You see, on January 5, I will be recording my diet and workouts on a service called Twitter (watch the video below for all the details). And you can follow right along, and even copy what I’m doing if you want.

I’ll be using the workouts in the Abs Uncrunched training program along with the diet found in the system. If you follow me on Twitter, you can see exactly what I eat and which workouts I’m doing. If you want to record your workouts and diet, I’ll be able to see what you’re eating and which workouts you’re doing. We can keep each other accountable. :)

If you want to do the exact same workouts, you’ll need to download a copy of Abs Uncrunched. Make sure you register for a free account on Twitter and then follow me. It’s that easy.

OK, watch this video for more details and for a great explanation of Twitter.

Have an amazing day.
