The Quickest Fat Burning Workout in the WorldComments
I recently read an article on the quickest fat burning workout in the world – a type of training called burst training.
Do you know what burst training is?
Do you remember playing tag as a kid and had to make a start and stop movement?
Have you ever quickly run up a short flight of stairs?
How about running to your car in the pouring rain or sprinting from home to first in a baseball or softball game?
These are examples of burst training.
Burst training consists of very short and intense bouts of activity that are to be repeated several times during the day.
These bouts last for no longer than one minute and the shorter the duration of exertion, the harder you can push yourself.
And the harder you can push yourself, the more likely you will reach oxygen debt, or excess post-exercise oxygen consumption.
When you reach oxygen debt, your body ends up burning more calories and fat long after the exercise has stopped.
This is the same thing that happens in interval training, but in burst training, the training bout is very short.
This same sort of thing also happens when you do Tabata Intervals, which I’ve talked about before.
Tabata intervals are where you work out hard for 20 seconds and rest for 10 seconds for 4 minutes.
These type of intervals are great at spiking your metabolism and burning excess calories and fat all day long and are some of the workouts I used for my abs transformation.
The specific Tabata intervals I used are in the Four Minute Workout DVDs.
Later on this week, I will tell you more about how burst training works, I’ll give you a sample protocol and you can see of its practical for you.
Have an amazing day.

The McDonald’s WorkoutComments
Did you ever think you’d see someone workout in the parking lot of McDonald’s?
Well leave it to me to do just that. : )
This was a fun video I put together a couple of years ago.
Some of you have seen it and some of you haven’t.
Sorry for the darkness of the video.
I hope my videos are much better now.
This was just my way of showing you that you can workout anywhere…even in the parking lot of McDonalds.
Hey who says you have to go to McDonalds to eat and gain weight?
Why don’t you go there and get in a workout.
Here’s what I did…
10 modified pull ups
10 push ups
10 curb jumps
as many rounds as you can in 5 minutes.
Enjoy! And please leave your comments about this crazy video. What did you think of it? Do you have any other crazy places you want me to shoot a workout video?
Have an amazing day.

The #1 Secret for Sticking to Your Weight Loss ProgramComments
Howdy,
I just did an interview with Jeff Anderson last night who revealed the #1 secret for sticking to your weight loss program.
But you have to listen to the interview to find out what that is. : )
Jeff actually revealed 8 KILLER “fat loss secrets” from his military training as a Master Fitness Trainer and Weight Control Specialist!
And just to tease you a bit more, here are just a FEW of some of the tips Jeff revealed…
* Why the U.S. Military REALLY spent billions of dollars on crafting a fitness program that would work for ALL soldiers…younger…older…men…women…skinny…and yes – FAT!
* Why you should absolutely NOT “count calories” in an attempt to burn off body fat! (You’ll LOVE his reason why!)
* Which exercise works best at burning fat…cardio or weight training? Jeff goes WAY beyond your typical answer on this and shows you EXACTLY how to use each type to burn fat faster than ANY other strategy out there!
* The #1 secret for sticking to your weight loss program…no matter HOW MANY times you may have “failed” in the past. (The whole seminar was worth just this one single tip…TRUST ME!)
If you liked what you heard in the interview, you can have Jeff personally coach you as part of his Combat the Fat program.
Take a peek at Combat the Fat now and let me know what you think.
Have an amazing day.

The Abs Diet – Pre/Post Workout NutritionComments
Howdy,
I brought in Jason Hunter for a quick Q&A about a very important part of your diet that will help you get a flat stomach and six-pack abs.
Jayson is a registered dietician and author of The Carb Rotation Diet
We talked about pre and post workout nutrition.
Exactly what and when you should be eating before and after your workouts.
Your post workout meal is going to be your most important meal for getting you the lean body that your looking for.
But, there is a precise time that you should be eating and there are certain nutrients that you should be putting in your body after your workout.
I know a lot of people who aren’t doing this and that’s a big reason they’re not getting their abs as lean and defined as possible.
In my abs makeover, I got great results using a recovery drink called Workout made by Prograde. It’s delicious and I noticed my abs getting more defined and my energy levels increased after only a few days of taking it.
Anyway, check out what Jayson had to say by listening to our short 5 minute audio,
I’m thinking of having Jayson as a regular guest every Tuesday for a brief audio where he will answer a nutrition question that you ask.
Do you like this idea?
Leave your opinion in the Comments section and if you have a question for Jayson next week, make sure to put that in the Comments as well.
Have an amazing day.

Kettlebell Swings for Fat LossComments
Happy Monday!
One of my favorite exercises to perform for fat loss are kettlebell swings.
Kettlebells are great. They are a type of weight originating from Russia and look somewhat like a cannonball with a handle.
They are fantastic for developing strength, endurance, flexibility and balance and are great for overall fat loss.
If you want to strip away fat fast, get yourself a kettlebell.
One of my favorite exercises to do with a kettlebell is a swing.
Kettlebell swings are great for the hips, hamstrings, glutes, back, and abs.
In fact, I think they are one of the best abs exercises out there.
When doing a swing, you want to drive your hips back and let the kettlebell fall underneath you.
Explode up and drive your hips forward as you swing the kettlebell – you want to create momentum with the kettlebell.
Today I had a quick fat loss workout using a kettlebell and jump rope and it took less than 10 minutes.
Jump rope x 150 reps
35 lbs kettlebell swings x 25 reps
Rest until I caught my breath
Repeat for 3 rounds total.
This one definitely had me huffing and puffing.
If you are new to kettlebell swings, you may want to start with a 20 pound kettlebell and less reps.
I would love for you to try it and let me know what you think. Was it challenging for you? Were you breathing hard like I was? : )
Have an amazing day!

Abs Exercise – The Pull UpComments
Howdy,
I figured since I’ve shown you so many push up variations to do, that I should show you some different pull up variations as well. Pull ups are a great abs exercise because your abs are constantly working for the entire movement.
Now there are many different types of pull ups you can do.
I must admit though that pull ups are a weakness for me.
There are many more styles that I didn’t show you.
But I hope you enjoy the ones that I did show you.
There are some pull ups in the Bodyweight Four Minute Workout DVD. You can replace the ones in the DVDs with any of the ones that I show you on this video.
By the way, you’ll notice some modified pull ups at the end of the video that are easier to perform.
This is where you can start if you haven’t done pull ups before.
They were done using a piece of equipment called The Jungle Gym made by Lifeline USA.
Have fun and let me know what you think!

The Abs DietComments
Howdy.
I thought you might want to know what my idea of the Abs Diet is.
What I mean is that I want to show you how I shop for groceries and what type of foods I buy.
I want to show you a lot of the foods that I ate during my abs transformation to get a flat stomach and six-pack abs.
You’ll see a lot of these types of foods popping up in The Carb Rotation Diet Plan.
Care to go on a grocery shopping tour with me?
I hope so, because I made a little video for you of me shopping at Whole Foods.
And something very interesting happened about half way through the video when I was buying some salmon.
I kind of was expecting this, but wasn’t really sure if and when it might happen.
You’ll also meet my cat, Nomar, at the end of the video.
Stick around and watch.
Oh, and don’t forget to leave your comments.
Do you have any grocery shopping tips? What works for you? Did you like meeting my cat, Nomar? : )
Have an amazing day.

Wine and Weight LossComments
The latest edition of The Great Fat Loss Debate was all about wine and weight loss.
I often get clients who come to me because they are not getting the weight loss results that they want.
When we examine their diet, it turns out they are drinking wine every night.
When I tell them that may be contributing to their poor results, they don’t want any part of hearing that.
They don’t want to give up their wine.
Does this sound like you too?
There have been many studies describing the heart healthy benefits of red wine.
But you also need to consider the calories that you are putting in your body.
You need to consider the fact that wine is an alcohol and alcohol is not good.
And you should consider that you can get these same heart healthy benefits from other foods.
So what should you do?
Do you need to give up wine altogether for weight loss?
Or can you still enjoy wine and experience weight loss at the same time?
If you are following a plan like The Carb Rotation Diet, you can do both.
Listen to Scott Tousignant and I discuss this topic and give our take?
Let us know what you think by leaving a comment below. Do you agree with Scott and I, or are we full of it? : )
Have an amazing day.
