30 Day Challenge – Day 21 Comment
All right, it’s day 2!
How is everyone doing on the 30 Day Challenge?
I had to go to Whole Foods today and stock up.
I bought some salmon, eggs, mixed greens, strawberries, plums, apples, bananas, just to name a few items.
Things are going well for me so far.
How about you?

How to Burn Stomach Fat QuicklyNo Comments »
If you want to burn stomach fat quickly, an examination of your workouts would be a great place to start.
Are you one of those people who go to the gym and use the same ole’ cardio machine day after day, week after week and month after month with little to no results?
If so, and if one of your goals is to blast belly fat, then you need to begin doing metabolic strength training and interval training as the main part of your exercise program.
You need to increase the intensity of your workouts.
And you need to cut down your workout time by half if not more.
That’s good news, isn’t it?
I’m telling you to workout less.
Just make sure your metabolic strength training and interval training are intense enough and you’ll blast belly fat in no time.
By metabolic strength training, I mean perform resistance exercises in a way that will get your heart rate up.
A great way to do that us to utilize bodyweight exercises in a circuit format.
I’ve outlined a complete step by step blueprint for you to be able to flatten your belly in the quickest amount of time in my Bikini Abs Makeover program.
Most of the workouts take less than 20 minutes and can be done anywhere – outside, in home, at a gym or even a hotel room.
If you train hard like this, and eat the way we’ve been talking about – primarily single ingredient foods, then I can guarantee your results.
Have an amazing day.

30 Day Challenge – Day 114 Comments
OK, so today is Day 1 of the 30 Day Challenge.
How is it going for you?
I kicked off my day by teaching a 6 am women’s bootcamp class.
By the way, this was a perfect example of planning ahead.
We usually have bootcamp on Friday mornings, but since 4th of July is coming up this Friday, I moved that workout to today (we usually don’t have bootcamp class on Tuesdays).
After I came home, I did Interval Workout #2 according to the Bikini Abs Makeover system.
And then I had a breakfast of 3 eggs, and 2 nectarines which are two very tasty single ingredient foods.
Speaking of fruit, have you seen the latest pictures of Craig Ballantyne, author of Turbulence Training?
He is completely ripped and eats about 10 servings of fruit per day.
I know I will be increasing my fruit intake over the next 30 days.
How’s day 1 going for you?
I would love to read about it below. Just leave a comment.
And check out these 3 pictures of my clients I have helped and who have done some of the same workouts in the Bikini Abs Makeover program. They rock! : )
Have an amazing day.

Your 30 Day Challenge46 Comments
Have you ever watched the show 30 Days?
It was created by Morgan Spurlock who made the movie Super Size Me.
Remember that one? Morgan ate McDonalds 3 times a day for 30 straight days.
Well in his show 30 Days, Morgan puts someone in an environment (sometimes himself) that they are not used to for 30 straight days.
One time Morgan and his girlfriend lived on minimum wage for 30 days.
Anyhow, I want you to challenge yourself for the NEXT 30 DAYS starting on July 1.
What’s my 30 Day Challenge?
I’m going to be eating only single ingredient foods for the next 30 days and will post regular updates on the blog.
Check out the video below so you can get a better idea of what I’m doing and how I will succeed on this.
Then I want you to pick YOUR own 30 Day Challenge and post a comment on the blog about what you plan to do.
Perhaps you will do the same thing I am doing?
Maybe you will give up all sweets or alcohol for the next 30 days.
Or perhaps you will follow the Bikini Abs Makeover system step by step for the next 30 days.
Pick something that will challenge you. Get a little out of your comfort zone.
YOU decide.
YOU’RE in control.
When you decide on your challenge, please leave a comment and tell us what you plan to do for the next 30 Days!
Have an amazing day.

What’s Bothering You?28 Comments
I was in Los Angeles, California this weekend for a business conference and I’m actually still here for a few more hours until I get back to Dallas tonight.
I learned something very important.
I need to be listening to you more.
Talking to you more.
Finding out what you need.
And asking you how I can help you.
So I want to start out by doing this…
I want to start out by asking you this question.
What’s bothering you?
In terms of your fitness or your weight or health what is really frustrating you?
What do you need help with?
But I want you to do a little bit more with this.
I want to challenge you and have you dig a little deeper into your emotions.
So for example instead of just telling me I can’t seem to lose these last 20 pounds, I want you to tell me why that bothers you.
How does it make you feel?
Maybe you felt embarrassed because you just went to the beach with your friends and
you were ashamed to take your shirt off or walk around in your bikini.
Perhaps someone made a comment that it looks like you’ve put on a few pounds and that’s
bothering you.
Or maybe there is something about your health that is affecting your relationship with your
spouse and this is making you sad and unloved.
So I really want to you dig a little deep on this one and tell me what’s bothering you
and the emotions you are feeling.
You can also ask me any questions you need help with and I will do my best to help you as
much as I can.
Just leave your comments here…
I appreciate it and I can’t wait to help you more. : )
Have an amazing day.

Lose Weight on the McDiet50 Comments
On no, here we go again!
Didn’t I just write about how unhealthy Jared and his Subway Diet was?
Well now comes a story about Chris Coleson, a man who took his waist size from 50 inches to 36 inches in 6 months eating nothing but McDonalds.
Give me a break!
You can read the full story about the McDiet.
He started at 286 pounds and went on a 1400 calorie diet – a very restrictive calorie diet for a man his size.
It gets better.
He skipped breakfast every day.
He primarily ate salads, wraps and sandwiches.
Wait, it gets even better.
He was on Good Morning America talking about it.
Apparently this is newsworthy.
He probably was doing this for the publicity anyway – a Jared wannabe.
Who knows how McDonalds is going to use this positive publicity to their advantage.
Please leave your opinion and don’t hold back.
I want to hear what everyone has to say. : )
Have a great weekend.

Cereal and Six-Pack Abs12 Comments
Today I want you to take a close look at the ingredient list of your cereal box.
I’m looking at an old box of Kellogg’s Smart Start Healthy Heart Cinnamon Raisin cereal.
On the front it says contains ingredients that may help lower BOTH blood pressure and cholesterol.
A tempting reason to want to buy the cereal to say the least.
But upon further examination of the ingredients, here is what it contains…
Oat Bran, Sugar, Rice, Raisins, High Fructose Corn Syrup, Glycerin, Dextrose, Malt Flavor, Potassium Chloride, Salt, Cinnamon, Coconut and Palm Kernel Oil, Baking Soda, Ascorbic Acid, Niacinamide, Zinc Oxide, Wheat Starch, Calcium Pantothenate, Reduced Iron, Pyridoxine Hydrochloride, Riboflavin, Thiamin Hydrochloride.
The last few ingredients are the vitamins and minerals.
But the point is that ingredient number 2 is sugar.
Ingredient number 5 is high fructose corn syrup.
And a few other ingredients I don’t know what they are, but they don’t sound good.
Sugar and high fructose corn syrup are exactly the type of ingredients you should be avoiding.
Meanwhile take a container of oats.
You know what the ingredients are?
Well actually there is only one – 100% natural whole grain rolled oats.
My point is you really need to watch what your eating – especially foods like cereals that make claims to be healthy but actually are probably ruining your efforts at getting a flat stomach and six-pack abs.
You want to eat as many single ingredient foods, like oatmeal and eggs, and less of these foods like cereal.
I know people that eat cereal for breakfast in the morning and for dinner at night.
If you’re doing that, you’re setting yourself way back.
I’ve only had cereal once since last August and that was when I was home at my parents house for Christmas.
Other than that, I don’t eat it anymore and I’ve gotten by stomach flatter and leaner than it’s ever been.
For a list of the types of foods you shoud be eating to strip away belly fat, check out Bikini Abs Makeover.
And get yourself on a good nutrition program like The Carb Rotation Diet.
I would love to get your feedback and your opinions on cereal.
Just leave a comment here.
Have an amazing day.

Howdy!
On Friday, one of the most influential people in broadcast journalism, Tim Russert, passed away.
He died of a heart attack at age 58.
I was just watching Larry King and he was interviewing a couple of cardiovascular experts asking them about Tim Russert’s heart attack.
Tim had gone in for a stress test in late April, but this didn’t reveal that he had heart disease.
Larry King asked one of the doctor’s how else could Tim have known he was at
risk for heart disease.
And the doctor said, his waist circumference.
The size of your waist is a very valid predictor of your risk of heart disease.
I’m always talking about getting your abs as lean and sexy as possible so you’ll look good on the beach.
But the reality is a flat stomach can help save your life!
Here is a quick calculation you can do to see if you are at higher risk for heart disease.
This came from one of the doctor’s on Larry King.
Take your height in inches.
Measure your waist at the level of your belly button (not the size pants you wear), using a tape measure.
If your waist size is more than half of your height, then you may be at risk for heart disease.
So for example, my height is 73 inches.
Half of my height is 36 1/2 inches.
If my waist size is 37 inches or more, I would be at a higher risk of heart disease.
Try the calculation and see what you come up with.
If your waist is too big, you probably know what you need to be doing. : )

Have an amazing day.
