How Bad Is High Fructose Corn Syrup For You?11 Comments
There was a lot of response to my post about the high fructose corn syrup commercials.
Most of you couldn’t believe your eyes when you saw these commercials, and were outraged.
However there were other opinions as well.
One person said that we are all bigoted towards high fructose corn syrup and that there is nothing dangerous about high fructose corn syrup at all.
That surprised me to hear that.
In response, I wanted to get a registered dietitian’s opinion.
So I just called Jayson Hunter, author of The Carb Rotation Diet, and we had a brief conversation about the high fructose corn syrup commercials.
Take a listen and please share your thoughts.
Do you agree what Jayson had to say?
Do you agree with the other comment that high fructose corn syrup is not dangerous?
Thanks for listening.

High Fructose Corn Syrup Commercials44 Comments
I just watched two television commercials that said high fructose corn syrup is ok to eat.
Are you kidding me?
Is this what we’ve come to?
Are we now just waving the white flag and giving up?
Are we saying that obesity is fine and dandy?
Are we saying that the rise in Type II Diabetes doesn’t mean anything to us?
Are you OK with your kids getting sick and fat and diseased?
Do you want to continue to put this type of garbage in your body?
Look, High Fructose Corn Syrup is 20% cheaper than sugar.
It’s a 4.5 BILLION dollar industry.
It came to the market in the late 70′s, obesity levels at that time were stable.
Now 50% of our sweeteners are HFCS derived.
Per person consumption is at a 73.5 lbs PER YEAR.
That’s a lot of sweetener!!
Obesity rates in teens have TRIPLED
You do the math.
These kinds of commercials need to be banned from the airways as soon as possible.
If you haven’t seen the commercials I’m talking about, you can view them below.
And I would love for you to leave your comments.
Have an amazing day.

Blast Belly Fat Faster With This One Trick2 Comments
Howdy,
I’m still in Vail, Colorado, hanging out with my friend Mike Geary, author of The Truth About Six-Pack Abs.
A few weeks ago, I made a video describing a trick that will help you blast belly fat faster, and I put it to the test yesterday.
The trick to burn belly fat faster and to never hit a fat loss plateau is to incorporate variety into your workouts.
Here’s how I did that yesterday.
I rented a mountain bike and Mike took me to a steep mountain out in West Vail.
We then proceeded to do a long, grueling uphill mountain bike ride.
Well at least it was grueling for me.
There were several times where I had to stop as I was gasping for air while Mike pretty much just laughed at me.
But hey, I wasn’t acclimated to the high altitude yet.
So why did this mountain bike ride help me blast more belly fat?
1) I had not gone mountain biking in a year, so it was a shock to my system and something new.
Anytime you can shock your system and do something different in your workouts, you will see results (see video below on how to do this).
2) The ride had me really gasping for air and got me into my anaerobic threshold.
When you train in this manner, your metabolism sky rockets and you end up burning fat all day long.
That’s something we all want, right?
So, what can you do in your current workout to change it up and add variety?
Let’s face it, there are so many people doing 3 sets of 10 reps of the same 8-10 exercises or walking on the treadmill for an hour a day.
And they’ve been doing this week after week and month after month and have stopped seeing results.
Well shock your system.
Incorporate more variety into your workouts.
I explain exactly how to do this in the video.
Have an amazing day.

The Abs Diet – Post Workout Nutrition3 Comments
I just did a great mountain bike ride with my good friend Mike Geary, author of The Truth About Six-Pack Abs.
I’ll tell you exactly why this type of workout is good for developing a flat stomach and six-pack abs in my next post.
But right now I wanted to tell you what Mike whipped up for our Abs Diet – Post Workout Nutrition.
We had a shake right after we got back home which consisted of raw milk, strawberries, frozen bananas, organic peanut butter, a little honey and a little cocoa powder.
It was a great meal to recover from our bike ride and extremely delicious too.
Go ahead and try it out.
Don’t forget to leave a comment and tell me what you think about it.
Have a great day.

The Abs Diet To Flatten Your Stomach1 Comment
Howdy,
I’m in Vail, Colorado with fellow abs expert, Mike Geary, the author of Truth About Six-Pack Abs.
Mike lives in Vail and invited me for a visit and to do some hiking and mountain biking.
He also just whipped up a great breakfast that should be a part of any abs diet to help flatten your stomach.
Here’s what we each had.
3 organic scrambled eggs with red peppers, onions and grass fed cheese
grass fed bison sausage
sprouted grain raisin bread
coffee with a touch of honey and raw milk.
It was very delicious and healthy. I’ve actually never had bison sausage before, so I was glad Mike introduced me to it.
If you have tried bison sausage, or are willing to try and, I would love to hear your feedback.
Have an amazing Labor Day.

The Abs Diet – What Should You Eat For Breakfast1 Comment
Howdy,
You may have heard me talk a little bit in the past about how I don’t think cereal is a good food to eat as part of your abs diet, especially if you’re trying to lose stomach fat.
Too many chemicals and high fructose corn syrup and sugar in most cereals.
But I wanted to give you you a few options for a healthy breakfast – foods that you should be eating if you’re looking to get a flat stomach.
Just check out this brief video.
By the way, I’m hanging out in the home of Mike Geary, author of The Truth About Six-Pack Abs.
Mike lives in Vail, Colorado, and I’m here visiting for a couple of days doing some hiking and mountain biking.
I’ll let you know what he whips up for breakfast, to see if he practices what he preaches in his book.
Have an amazing day.

The Michael Phelps Diet – 12,000 Calories a Day3 Comments
Howdy,
I read an article last week about Michael Phelps’s diet. It turns out he eats 12,000 calories a day!
This is 9,500 calories a day more than the FDA recommends.
He told NBC that on an average day, this is what he eats…
Breakfast: 3 fried egg sandwiches, 2 cups coffee, 5-egg omlette, bowl of grits, 3 pieces of french toast, 3 chocolate chip pancakes
Lunch: 1 pound pasta, 2 ham and cheese sandwiches, energy drink (1,000 calorie)
Dinner: 1 pound pasta, 1 large pizza, energy drink (1,000 calorie)
Looks like he isn’t following the Carb Rotation Diet.
Now before you go out there and try this yourself, keep in mind that Michael Phelps exercises about 30 hours per week.
He actually has to keep his calories intake up to compensate for all of the calories he burns during his 30 hour per week workouts.
Whew! I don’t think my stomach could handle this much food.
And I know I won’t be followng the Michael Phelps Diet any time soon.
But it was interesting to hear what he eats.
Have an amazing day.
