A Fun Abs Workout For Six-Pack Abs7 Comments

Topics: Abs Exercise

Howdy,

I’m in Las Vegas as I type this, but I wanted to show you a quick, fun abs workout that you can do to help you on your pursuit of a six-pack.

All you need is yourself, a deck of cards and a little bit of space.

I’m really big on workouts using your own bodyweight that you can do anywhere, like we do in Bikini Abs Makeover.

I know it sounds weird to use a deck of cards, but that’s what makes this workout fun!

You’ve got some flexibility to this workout so be creative.

Check out the video and enjoy!

The Michael Phelps Diet – 12,000 Calories a Day3 Comments

Topics: Abs Nutrition

Howdy,

I read an article last week about Michael Phelps’s diet.  It turns out he eats 12,000 calories a day!

This is 9,500 calories a day more than the FDA recommends.

He told NBC that on an average day, this is what he eats…

Breakfast: 3 fried egg sandwiches, 2 cups coffee, 5-egg omlette, bowl of grits, 3 pieces of french toast, 3 chocolate chip pancakes

Lunch: 1 pound pasta, 2 ham and cheese sandwiches, energy drink (1,000 calorie)

Dinner: 1 pound pasta, 1 large pizza, energy drink (1,000 calorie)

Looks like he isn’t following the Carb Rotation Diet. :)

Now before you go out there and try this yourself, keep in mind that Michael Phelps exercises about 30 hours per week.

He actually has to keep his calories intake up to compensate for all of the calories he burns during his 30 hour per week workouts.

Whew!  I don’t think my stomach could handle this much food.

And I know I won’t be followng the Michael Phelps Diet any time soon.

But it was interesting to hear what he eats.

Have an amazing day.

Here is what Scott and I covered coming directly from you, the readers out there…

"What do you feel is the best goal setting method to achieve my desired physique and do you feel goals are a necessary component to staying motivated. Thanks again"

"How do I stay motivated after I reach my goal – it’s as though whenever I reach the goal, I give myself permission to slide a little because it won’t have much of an effect. Until I yo-yo back where I was!"

"How do you get yourself to work out hard if you are working out alone? I have problems doing intervals since I can’t seem to make myself bump the intensity."

"I am 55 have been going to gym about 6 years but for past 3 years maybe 2 days a week for one thing I cant see any results anymore AND it is so hard to get up at 4:00 and be at gym by 6:00 I have the desire and I know at my age I REALLY need to go"

Should You Drink Sports Drinks?2 Comments

Topics: Abs Nutrition

Howdy!

Do you ever wonder what you’re really putting into your body when you drink sports drinks, like Gatorade?

Are sports drinks as healthy as the commercials claim they are?

I mean, after all, if you drink Gatorade, you can "be like Mike."

I know that’s one of the reasons I chugged down a lot of Gatordae growing up. :)

So what’s the scoop?

Should you be drinking sports drinks?

Or will drinking them actually sabatoge the lean body you’re developing?

Jayson Hunter, author of The Carb Rotation Diet clears up the confusion in our latest Q&A.

Enjoy.
