Post Workout Nutrition to Get a Flat Stomach4 Comments
Along with breakfast, your nutrition after your workout is your most important meal of the day and has been vital in helping me get a flat stomach. And yet I know a lot of people who don’t eat for several hours after their workout, or they eat foods that aren’t very nutritious.
Well I decided to set the record straight and got registered dietitian Jayson Hunter to tell me exactly what you should eat and when you should eat after working out. He also gave some great suggestions on what to eat before your workout as well. As for me, I drink a post workout recovery shake as soon as I can after working out with Prograde Workout, strawberries, blueberries and sometimes a banana. In fact, I’m drinking one right now because I just worked out.
Enjoy this video. The information may go a long way in getting you the flat stomach you’re after.

Hi Scott,
I usually do a small workout about two hours before bed time. I know it’s not good to eat before going to bed. Would you still suggest eating after the workout, and if so, what would you suggest?

Re: post workout shakes.
I live in Northern Thailand. Not a lot of supplements are available, and if they are, they are imported and very expensive.
If a store bought protein shake or even protein powder isn’t available, what would you recommend?
I have been blending frozen strawberries and yogurt, pouring it over a 1/4 c. of all-bran. This has given me the 2 to 1 carbs to pro ration, but it sounds like I should be using a simpler carb instead of the all-bran.
I’d appreciate any advice!
Thanks!
