Take Your “Before” Picture Today
January 6th, 2009 · Filed Under: Abs Exercise · Abs Nutrition
Hey I want you to do something for me today. So many of you started a new diet and exercise program yesterday. That’s great - I did too! I’m following my own Abs Uncrunched program.
Do me a favor (if you haven’t done so already), take some “before” pictures and put them somewhere you can see them. We all know the scale doesn’t work, right? I hope we’re in agreement about that.
One of the best ways you can monitor your progress is by looking at your pictures.
I would recommend taking pictures from the front, back and side while wearing a swimsuit or something similar. And I suggest doing this every month you are following your program. I know it might be embarrassing - I mean heck I sure didn’t want to take my “before” pictures and put them on this blog for the whole world to see. But it really helped me stay focused on my goals.
Oh, and one more thing about the scale. Below are my before/after photos taken at the end of 2007. I was developing the Abs Uncrunched program at the time and testing it on myself. I don’t know how much I weighed in either picture. Didn’t care and it didn’t matter. Heck I could have weighed the same both pictures for all I know. But if I didn’t lose any weight in 12 weeks, would my program have been a failure? No, because I melted fat and built nice, lean muscle and got the results I was looking for. And comparing my before and after photos helped me see that.
So throw out the scale!
Want to take it a step further? Do 2 things:
1) Schedule a photo shoot 12 weeks from now with a professional photographer.
2) Keep a blog and announce to the world what you’re doing and continually update your progress.
Good luck,
Scott
