This post comes directly from my newsletter that I just sent out. I would love to hear your comments.
=============================
Last night I was watching a Barbara Walter’s
special remembering Patrick Swayze, the
actor who passed away on Monday at age 57.
They were showing clips of an interview
she did with him earlier this year.
One of the questions Barbara ask him
was “how would he liked to be remembered?”
I don’t remember Mr. Swayze’s exact response -
it was something along the lines of him
hoping that he had made a difference in
other people’s lives.
The reason I don’t remember his exact
response was because it was at that exact
moment that I put myself in Patrick
Swayze’s shoes and was wondering how
I would be remembered when my time on
this Earth had come and gone.
It was also that exact moment that tears
started rolling down my eyes (those who
know me well know that this isn’t that
unusual for me) : )
But I started to wonder how I would be
remembered.
I’ve dedicated the last 10 years of my
life trying to help improve other people’s
health, fitness, and overall quality of
living.
I write these newsletters, post articles on
my blog, make workout videos, run bootcamps,
and have helped other trainers start their
bootcamps.
But sometimes I wonder, if anyone is being
helped by my information.
Well it wasn’t 5 minutes later that I
received a message from a new friend of
mine on Facebook named Curtis.
It simply said: “Just would like you to
know that you made a difference in my life.
Thanks.”
I was blown away by these words.
They made my week!
And put a smile on my face.
I guess I am making a difference in people’s
lives.
Thank you for those words Curtis.
Humbly Yours,
Scott Colby
If I have made a difference in your
life or of you would like to share how you
would like to be remembered, I would love
for you to leave a comment.

I don't know you, but look forward to every email that I get!!! I try to put into action all that I read that you do, recommend, or just plan have a comment about (which causes me to also look into it like you). I've taken notes on your phone conferences (which I love), and have even posed related questions or comments to friends, family, and even my personal doctors, etc. You truly have made a difference… you should be very proud of what you do, what you have done, and all of those that you are able to help.

Scott, some day, some where, we always make a difference in some one's life. Keep doing what you're doing and stand proud.
Much respect and In good health

Thank you for making an motivational difference in my life. Your emails are especially helpful at work as my coworkers cannot identify with someone who lives a fitness lifestyle and doesn't wish to engage in negative talk, gossip or making mountains out of molehills. May God continue to bless you.

Hi Scott,
Christy Burns here from http://www.training-for-life.net. I met you this past weekend @ Bootcamp Bootcamp in Louisville. Funny thing, when I saw you standing there waiting for a ride from the airport, I had just been thinking about you and your posts. You were one of the first I started reading when I began my own business.
Yep, you have made a difference in my life all right. I've learned a lot about business, bootcamps and just plain ole motivation from you. I am grateful!!! Thank you!

Every day I get over a dozen different fitness emails from various fitness experts. I usually don't read all of them due to a hectic schedule…but, I always read yours, Scott. I make an effort to read every one of yours that comes through. Something about your blog seems more down-to-earth and more relatable than most fitness blogs.
I just want to thank you for doing what you do and keeping me motivated with my fitness goals!

Another pat on the back? You betcha. You have made a big difference in my quest to becoming fit and healthy. I cannot tell you how much useful information I have taken away from your posts and some of the workouts are killer.
Always remember…to the world you might be just one man but you might be the world to someone.

Hi Scott,
I am from a very beautiful, small island in the Caribbean, Saint Lucia where we host the best jazz festivals every year. Our and our island are "Simply Beautiful". I read your e mails all the time and the advice you give is very enlighteing and life changing. I do appreciate them. Fancy your reach being extending to such radius. At one time when I was younger we felt very isolated being on a small island but life has changed so much with technology and travel and most people have travelled out or have visited St. Lucia. The jazz festival held every May has allowed us to host great artistes as Kenny G, Santana, George Benson, Dionne Warwick, Issac Hayes, Luther Vandross, Chi Lites, Air Supply and many, many more. Hope you can get a chance to visit the island at some point. Check the St. Lucia Website.

Hey Scott,
Yours is the only email/newsletter I read every time I get one. And I think you remember how great I felt while doing your Abs Uncrunched program. I was struggling with hormone imabalances, chronic fatigue and generally feeling low about my physical state. You and your program helped me to feel strong, fit and lean. I haven't felt that in10 years at least. And I connected with some great people through your forum for at My Fit Pals. So YES, you made a big impact on my life. Thank you! You are doing something wonderful for others by sharing your knowledge. Keep up the good work!

Scott, every since I bought into your "My Ultimate Body" teleseminar you changed my whole outlook towards losing weight and over all fitness. A lot of fitness expert claim to care about their people on there so called "List" newsletters but you are genuinely sincere. So keep up the good work.

Hi Scott! So many of the other comments have covered what I want to say, but I will add my two cents. I always read your emails and enjoy watching your clips. You are sincere and knowledgeable and have a genuine interest in improving the health, fitness and quality of life of people you don't even know – that is really cool! I trust everything that you say and really appreciate the absence of BS in your messages. Are you making a difference? You betcha!!

Scott, I agree with the others who have posted here. I read your emails religiously, appreciate your regular-guy / down-to-earth manner, have followed your program, share your wisdom with my husband and friends, and have a much stronger and healthier body thanks to you. You make sense to me, and it seems that you have touched many lives far beyond Dallas. Someday I would love to thank you in person.
