What Abs Information Would You Like to See?
November 27th, 2007 · Filed Under: Uncategorized
I will be creating a lot more abs content in the coming months and I would like to know what you would like to see. If you could please leave a comment on this blog as to what you would like to see, I would appreciate it.
Here are some choices
Please choose 3 things you would like to see more of and rank them in order 1, 2, 3 (1 being what you want to see the most).
Just add a comment to this blog post with your choices and I will see it.
Would you like to see more:
Abs Exercises (do you want pictures or videos)
Abs Workouts (do you want pictures or videos)
Abs Audios (teleseminars, interviews - like Amazing Abs Formula)
Abs Diet (nutrition info, meals, etc)
Abs Mindset (visualization, goal setting, motivation)
Abs Support (creating a community so we can all support each other, mastermind, talk to each other…like a MySpace or Facebook for abs)
Abs Success Stories (audio interviews with others who have transformed their abs)
Abs Coaching (Q&A calls with me and other experts)
Abs E-Book
Other (maybe something else I haven’t thought of)
Thanks!
Scott

Hi Scott, first of all thank you for your info so far, i’ve made decent gains over the last six weeks. However I think there is more I could do. I do 6 minute non-stop sessions using different exercises/crunches,etc two times per week. I have a low percentage body fat so therefore i’m not really interested in the nutrition side as I believe I already have a very good one. I would like to see video clips of exercises perhaps and just wondering does other exercises such as squats for example really target the area as well? Also, I was reading somewhere that multivitamins is essential for bodybuilding, how true is this?
Thanks again for everything,
Ray

For the past 2 yrs I have been busting my ass with workouts and trying to do the right foods. I have lost over 30 lbs but not wear I want to , on my belly. Could it be genetics or the fact I am 64?Thanks

Hi Scott,
Great teleseminar series, your latest guest Shawn Phillips included. He’s got great photos on his site. One question hardly ever asked is what body fat percentage are they (say, Shawn Phillips) at? Are they at that BF% all year or just for special shoots, events, etc.
What BF% is considered too low or unsafe?
Continued success and best wishes.

Hi Scott
1. Abs Exercises - videos
2. Abs Workouts - videos - especially workouts for the entire core ‘corset’ area - I am trying to perfect handstands and need a lot of core strength to hold myself there!
3. Abs Diet - nutrition info for women, and for vegetarian/vegan options - I have iron and protein without red meat, but what about everything else?
Thanks

I’ve listened to most of your interviewees and from what I’m hearing the general consensus is that if you want great abs don’t just concentrate on the abs. I’d like to see 2-3 different overall good body workouts that I can use on alternating days. These would be designed for the whole body but do great work on the abs as well.

Great Scott!! Well done up to now - i really appreciate your genuine efforts to help.
I prefer more 1. Videos of workouts. PLEASE can you make them brighter light wise. They always come to me very dark and barely visible. I prefer them to the spoken or written word bcos I am not american and some of the words and expressions you and your invited expert guests use confuse me. I don’t suppose I am alone. Also, for me, you could cut the music and give us reps . . .
2. Exercises preferably videos. Please lighten them again. They are too dark to see properly at present.
3. Please more about proper form. I cannot afford to waste my time on poor form that will do nothing for me.
4. Diet. Please more on “keeping my body guessing”. Mine seems very difficult to fool!!
Hope this is useful to you.

3. What results to expect on a weekly basis. To make sure your on the right track, doing the right things. Before and after pictures are not the complete story and can be discouraging when you can’t see the changes. You don’t want to do the work out, think your doing everything right, and find out 12 weeks later your not.

1. There is so much information that I am interested in effective ways to determine what works for you specifically? (how long do you do a workout, diet? What numbers do you pay attention to? etc.)
2.My #1 training issues is stress (I am a stress head) and overtraining/non-recovery. More information on that would be very helpful.
3. There’s been a lot of conversation about cycling - diets, workouts, Shawn Phillips discussed by season. This feels radical as all of my friends, including myself, seem to always be on a diet. More specific information on this would be helpful.

1. Abs work out video for specific excercise. (I am not sure if a video is necessary for an ab workout as it could be to time consuming on your part to make and ours to watch so pictures may do just as well.
Also Bibi makes a good point with ab excercises for those of us with back problems
2. Abs coaching (Q & A is always great)
3. Abs audio would be good. Something to download to the MP3 like the motovational running downloads I run with sometimes.
FYI: I like what you are doing. Unlike the others, I do not think you need to add diet/nutrition for abs as there is none. Lose weight and your abs will show if you work them. There is no secret or magic diet for abs or to losing weight. It is simply portion control as well as performing any type of physical activity each day.

Hey Scott!
I would love to see more:
1. Coaching - a q&a with professionals is what I really need. I have lost 85 pounds on my own, but everything sags, and I have no idea how to fix this. I train 6 days a week, and a follow almost every nutition rule. I need help!
2. Mastermind - I think that would be really sweet considering it’s the people around me that usually bring me down.
3. Diet - I follow the food guide, but I’m still not sure how to eat properly and achieve really low body fat levels.
Thanks for taking the time to read this. Hope you have a great day!

Hi Scott,
I just wanted to thank you for all your great seminars. I have one question that I would like help on if it is at all possible on the next call or maybe you could answer my question.
I have been weight training for about a year now. I am currently 5′3″ and weigh 110lbs and I am 33 years old. My current body fat seems to fluctuate between 17%-18%. Of course, I have been finding it hard to loose more body fat and with my low weight already I don’t want to cut calories anymore (For the past month have been following Jon Benson’s every other day diet (with my maintenance calories at 1300kcal (M/W/F eat 1300kcal and T/T eat 1650kcal and Sat 2050kcal). I have always been an athlete, active; however, I am really enjoying the weight training and weight train 4-5 days a week (Some weeks 6 Days) with cardio 4-5 days a week as well. In the past 2 weeks I noticed that my LBM dropped so I thought that I shouldn’t do as much cardio as I was loosing muscle. I have reduced my cardio to 3 days a week and have found that I gained a pound and my muscle percentage is the same. I know that I only gained a pound; however, my body fat is the same and my objective is to loose more body fat. From your last call (Tom Venuto) mentions having a calorie deficit - do I need to reduce my calories even more if my body weight and body fat is still the same? - Or should I increase my cardio again to 4-5 days a week - confused as when I do I seem to loose weight (muscle however, not body fat). I hope this makes sense and is not to confusing. Your help would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks,
Aimie - dedicated to loosing body fat
