What’s YOUR Excuse For Not Working Out? - Abs Uncrunched Show Episode #9
November 24th, 2008 · Filed Under: Abs Exercise
Hey I wanted to ask you something…
What would you do if you were diagnosed with a brain tumor, and had to undergo major brain surgery not once, but twice?
Would you be scared?
How would you keep a positive attitude?
Would it change your perspective on life?
Now I want to ask you another question…
What kind of lame excuses have you used for not working out?
I don’t have enough time…
I don’t feel like it…
I forgot my gym shoes…
It’s too cold out…
I don’t feel like driving to the gym…
Pretty lame excuses if you ask me.
Especially when you consider that my friend and bootcamp member Amy recently had 2 major brain surgeries and was back working out less than 2 weeks after her second surgery.
With the support of her twin sister April, she was able to maintain a positive attitude throughout.
Watch the video of Amy’s story and let me know what you think.
Now what’s your excuse for not working out?
Have an amazing day.

Awww….that got me teary-eyed. Thanks for sharing her story, Scott. What a wonderful inspiration she is! Not even two brain surgeries hold her back from swingin that kettlebell like crazy! I love her sense of humor and how she kept a positive attitude through such a difficult time. I can just tell that those two sisters are going to be successful in whatever they set out to achieve.

Congrats indeed! Stories like this always remind me to be thankful for my health. It really is the most important thing. And you usually don’t realize it until you’ve lost it.

You know, sometimes I feel down for very stupid things, these kind of people show me that there is no room for self-compassion, so this video gives more driving power to stay focused on my fitness goals.
